My Duo partner is a Pikeman and we compared weaps.

Mine is .3 faster. Does less damage and uses more HAM *boggle* He uses a Nightsister lance

ask him why the accuracy is -55 -55 -55 for the higher lvl pikes

Not every pikeman has looted a good nightsister lance and theyoften come with poor stats andreally low condition anyway.

Your argument is equivalent to saying no swordsman should ever complain at all about any of their weapons because this legendary vibro ax exists:

I haven't been a pikeman since the latest patch so I'm not sure if the added accuracy has mitigated the HAM cost problem. The biggest complaint I had was not that my moves cost so much, but that I constantly missed with my high HAM cost moves, even at master. Therefore I washurting myself A LOT while not doing any damage to my enemy.

Well as I said my duo partner is a Pikeman (neither of us are master but hes further along his trees then me). He outdamages me while looking @ combat tab but I always get the incap bc I focus on Mind pool while he hits Health and Action. lets not count the fact Pikeman get DoTs on thier weps but Ive never seen a 2H Curved Sword with a DoT.

As far as not every pikeman has a Nightsister lance I got him a 270 strength mind dot one for 225k. As easy as money is to get is this game I dont see why every Pikeman can't

You can't really base class comparisons on rare items. I've killed a lot of nightsisters and never looted one. The 2 nightsister lances Ihave seen in gameboth had a condition under 300/700 so they weren't going to last long without repair, which has a very high chance of destroying the weapon.

That vibro axe would go for ALOT more then 225k LOL. You seem to try to compare a Priceless weapon vs a 225k one. Not to mention my Sword cost about as much as his Lance (I had to buy a crate of 25 and get em all sliced to get my sword)

I CAN compare an Item like a Nightsister lance vs a 1 in 25 2h Curved sword bc then end cost is almost equal. The Legendary/Exceptional Vibro Axe is a 1 in a billion drop that will prolly never even see the Eclipse server

I tried pikeman, its extremely hard. They start out with less immediate power than every other melee class, and it doesn't get better. its even worse than unarmed in the brawler tree.

Most people like to go through things like defense, or get new offensive moves, when working their brawler profession.

Not pikeman, they have to get the entire speed branch to be able to train effectively.

I payed a weaponsmith good money to try and make me a lance and axe with positive range mods. negative, like -35 was his best.

now, add the low accuracy, **edit**ty speed, and low damage up. pikeman need love.

This is why: good normal, player-made LVAs (our best weapon) have HAM mods of roughly 85/75/45. Now, our specials have HAM multipliers such as 2.0/1.5/1.5 for polearmhit3. Now, if you had 500 strength/quickness/focus, this special costs you 200. The formula I'm using I believe is correct: ( (weapon mod) * (special mod) ) - (stat / 10). So, at 200+ HAM per swing with good secondary stats and no buffs, you can see that it's pretty painful. Master Carbineers that have had to master pikeman because of holocrons have stated that our HAM costs are worse than it was for carbineer.

Arguing that we don't have high HAM costs becuase you were comparing against someone using a special, looted weapon doesn't make sense. I'm not saying that swordsmen don't have high HAM costs, I know they do.
