Thread: Should I waste my Combat xp and SP for Finesse 3 to be able to use a Scythe?

I dont plan on mastering swordsman...although I might. (Im a merchant and I love it..but I might surrender it) Currently all im worried about getting is 4/3/4/3, if its worth it for the scythe. I dont like how it looks, but I dont like the hammer either. If I could get some acklay bones though, I'd definatly use the hammer. What do you guys suggest?

Acklay bone hammer cause scythes suck. Keep this between the good swordsman not the newbs cause i sell the scythes to them

I heard the Acklay bones no longer spawn. Either way the range mods and speed got to suck on it

First off, scythes dont suck, just not as good as hammers. Its the second best weapon for us now. Also, if your looking to reserve your sp's, why did you go up offense? Drop that if anything and put it on tech and defense and finesse. Offense is crap.

It's the best only if you have the speed and the accuracy to back it up.

what kind of scythe are you using? i saw a scythe on tarquinas that is as good as a "decent powerhammer" but its got the speed of a 2 hand curved, the only thing that turns me off is the HAM cost is split between all 3 stats, and i had having a mind encumbrance

the rule for swordsmen have always been to have two weapons, the curved sword for those who dont like kin dam and the hammer for those who dont like blast dam. id go for the scythe anyday... although most of the people here are masters and usualy dont fight things that dont have 80% kin resists or better they are forgetting that as a leveling swordsman u do meet other things than what shows up in the geo-cave and on dath.
no offence to u masters out there, ive been a master for 3 months now (and never giving it up) and i also mostly use my hammer but as of late ive been going for other things than nightsisters, genonsian and kryat and half the time i end up using my scythe

Lol what is with all the hating on the scythe? The weapon is good admit, power hammers rule dmg wise any day but come on. I would choose a two handed curved over a power hammer, but that just because im more partial to actual blade weapons. COME ON GIVE THE BLADES SOME LOVE TOO lol
