Hello All-

I have been around for over two years now, beinga ranged BH pretty much the entire time. Like all of my fellow hunters I have issues with the higher lvl Jedi and would like to know how you all fare against these characters. I have been crunching some numbers and figured you could be a BH with Invet 4 (covering the Scout and Marksman prereqs/ along with some basic Medic) and do Master Swordsman and Master Brawler. Like I said I am not, and have never been, a melee monkey. I would of course havelearn how to use the skills. With that said, how do you all feel such a template would work against a Master Defender? Perhaps detonate a bomb droid and then rush in and try them toe-to-toe. With them being so adept against ranged attacks, can you slug it out with them?

For starters I believe you have to be a MBH now to take Jedi missions. So if you go MBH/Swords that leaves you with 23 pts to put in medic, so basically 0020 not very much really.

Also your gonna be at a disadvantage because your not gonna have the extra spd and acc mods which you would get by going all melee.

Answer to your question no I dont think it would work.

, /cry. As a full melee template with healing you can wear several jedi templates down, others will outdamage your healing. Im not sure it can be done without fully commiting to melee though.

Pre-cu Sabres will still carve you up if the jedi is decent.
Post-cu, crappy sabres can be beat relatively easy if you know what you're doing.

I think this issue is now irrelevent now as it seems onl Master BH's can only hunt players!

Most will if they are MLS, but there are a few factors that would let you survive with the correct template, still a toss up though with the odds on the jedi side. No pre-curb saber, means they are going to die or run, unless you miss a heal.

I wasn't aware that only MBHs could pull Jedi missions now. Maybe if they make some provision in the future for BHs to go melee this could be feasible, but until then I guess I'll stick with my guns. I thank each of you for your input. I really appreciate your time.
