Guys,

I was reading a couple of threads today, "soloed my first elder" and "A tale of an elder". All those stories got me pumped up and so I decided to give it a try. I tried to use everyone's advice about looking at her weapons, etc. Well, for everyone's advice, I say thankyou. It definitely helped and I soloed my first elder. Yay I looted 1400 credits.

Then, I waited for the next one. But this one was tougher even though I think she was wielding just a stick. Anyways, I burst run because my mind is about to go out, and when I get better to track her down, she goes poof.

So, I try a third one, but she breaks out an LVA and some other red creatures come along to bother me. I take out the other creatures, but things dont go very well. Her mind goes down to 100k, but mine reaches 0 faster. "You can't headhit3 when you are dead." :-(

Oh well, at least I know that I can solo an elder. I just need to be more patient and careful. Thanks for reading, and good luck to all my swordsman brethren.

most i dmg 1 elder with a stick was 50k..then she killed me in a total of 2 moves doing about 1 to 1.5 kdmg with each one in 1 second..aka i couldnt even heal 1 time with a stim D before she bitchslapped me.....and yes...intimidated..bleeding from her nugget...warcry sometimes even..tho it didnt owrk mostly..maybe i need master brawler.

Thanks guys, I definitely will be better prepared for each encounter. I like the suggestion someone gave the other day about using warcry before healing yourself. I'll try to employ that next time.

I believe I'm speed capped at 95 using a 6.0 acklay hammer (tho not uber). I've got COB working and I'm keeping the elder intimidated / diseased (from gam axe) / bleeding. So, I'll keep at it

Imho, you WILL die from time to time while hunting Elders, especially when you havekilled 7-8 elders, your stomach tends to be quite full and you just dont have room for that nice canapees to get your mind up after a nasty bleed.

just remember if you put a bleed or dot on the elder your warcry will break everytime the bleed/dot tick
