Thread: WTH IS UP WITH FS and SEA'd 2HANDED SPEED??

ok everyone seems to spend millions on SEA's that boost up their 2handed speed, but what about enhanced melee speed in the combat prowess tree? i'm lvl 4 in that and i can attack prettydamn fast without any CA's or AA's. less than once per second with a scythe(this includes the +5 /w master brawler). then i woundered...could it be faster with SEA's? if i have once or less per second now...imagine what it could be with the +15 i need in SEA's....anyway, since it says enhanced melee speed +12 in my skill mods, and doesnt just add +12 into my 2handed melee speed. does this mean its entirely different? could i cap out with SEA's and then become EVEN faster with FS speed? someone please help me cuz no one seems to know when i ask em first hand. PLS TELL ME SO I DONT GO WASTIN $$$$$$.

I already have a jedi - so getting the FS lines for the jedi slot is a no go.......


And Id rather cap the speed with tapes - then waiste valuable skill points. - But thats just perhaps me.


So id rather spend a few extra mils (which can be recovered by a few good loots or janta missions) then loosing 4 skill points which can not be replaced.

With your template of:


Master Fencer
Master Swordsman
Master Brawler
TK 2304
C. Prowess 0040


All you would need to do, is get Prowess 0044 and a +1 SEA to cap speed. If you were to buy a +15 SEA today, and then get Prowess 0044 you would be at cap when you bought the SEA, and getting the 4th line in prowess wouldn't make you any faster.


I would suggest getting 0044, saving 12+ Mil in cash by getting a +1 SEA and enjoying the +12 speed from prowess as long as you use 2-handed, because it will never decay.

I am not a Master Brawler so its something like this

Master Swords
0004 Combat Prowess
+6 SpeedAA/CA

With that you cap for your power hammers and let me tell you, a capped power hammer > a capped scythe.

hell..

a acklay capped power hammer > most anything.

Incorrect, you cannot hit faster than one second with any weapon.

Tapes save skill points.

#1 - you can NEVER attack faster than once per second. 1 second is fastest

#2 - try using only the +12 from FS and a 6.1 speed powerhammer, you wont be hitting once per second.

#3 - my current temp has 1 sp left over....the SP for the FS speed would make me, and other, have to drop skills just to get speed, when i can buy it and keep my skills.

ok correct me if im wrong:


wouldnt i need a +3? master swordsman allows +70 to your speed, and the cap is +90. with master brawler i only need +15 in SEA's and +12 is already covered inmelee speed.


ok, so if i had a 6.1 PH it would be impossible to swing at once per second even if i was capped?


heh ill keep these 4 skills points until i can afford these SEA's

Speed Cap fora 6.1 speed hammer (usual speed on an acklay) is +95.

Master swordsman = +75

Master Brawler = +5


so you either need +20 or +15 depending on template.

I know the cap is once per second but if you're actually speed capped and look at your character attacking you hit more then once per second. More like once every .6-8 seconds. Believe me, get a watch and time it, you attack faster then once a second with specials.

the animation may be lagged or whatever, but it is proven that you can only attack at ONCE per second. turn on the TimeStamps and it records the time of everything you do....speed capped shots only land once per second. you will never get 2 ... 12:24:46...youll get 46-47-48-49-50...

sooo just to clarify..

you get +75 with swordsman..
+5 with master brawler...
+12 with FS speed tree..
and to cap out you need 95?

also, with PH the ranged mods accuracy are alot less so i can sometimes have problems landing hits with a PH in pvp on someone with uber def and escecially if theyre m fencer with pikatta pie. what does accuracy cap out at? i dont miss too often when im using my scythe.
