best place would still be Dantooine - if its grinding your after, go kill quenkers

won't make you rich, but get into a group first and the xp is great

Your best bet is to group with a cheap droid or pet (if you can get a CH to teach it group). That way you get the xp bonus (around 20% IIRC) and still get the full cash. Quenker missions pay 5.2k (5.8k in a job market city) and each quenker in a group should be 3.1k xp with 6 per lair, with the lair is 20k xp each and using spin attack takes care of them fairly quickly.

Best to be buffed and armoured tho.

before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

Quenkers, Huurton Huntress's and Huurton Stalkers are what i have been using to grind out Swords (and defences in other elite melee professions. I say forget about the money and get in as large a solo group as possible. Most lairs seem to spawn 3 waves including the initial one. Without a group their are only 2 critters spawning per wave or 6 per lair. If you get in a large solo group then it can raise to 5 a wave or 15 in total. As 5 seems to be the maximum number i can spin against, this is perfect.

Don't worry about not being able to get Ent buffs while in a solo group, you wont need them. I used a 73% Kinetic Ubese set (well, helm, legs, chest and glovesare all you need) and 2 brandys. Occasionally my mind would go down to 50% butby that time everything around me was dead and decaying. Then again i'm a Mon Cal, stats fully migrated into mind, focus and willpower. Maybe use Ahisa (sp?) if the mind costs start to hurt too much.

if your going the quenker way, get two lairs in the same direction that are relatively close together. target the first lair you get to and spin attack. keep doing that until all the quenkers are gone and the lairs HAM is low. hop back on your bike and go to the other mission and repeat with the spin attack. you will rack up the XP alot quicker this way than completing both missions the first time and then going to get more. i find an empty squill cave is alot more effective than this method.

Even better than quenkers:

Gurks on Lok. The missions pay out about 14k. If you get into a solo group you can get 15 per spawn. There is also no babies that spawn. So every time you get at least 15 time 4k xp. Then on some lairs you also get a boss spawn. These boss spawns are usually 3 gurk destroyers and a few smaller gurks. So another 6 or 7 on top of the 15 that spawned before.

I mastered swordsman in under 4 buff sessions. Roughly about 10 hours grind. That was from Novice Brawler to Master.

EASIEST thing to do is what my friend and i did, we grinded it in about 7 hours each but we are HEAVY grinders, when we sit down to master a prof, we dont get up till its mastered. what we did was dont use a power hammer unless you have a 31% spd slice one it (spd on mine is 3.6), try to use a spd sliced TWO HANDED CURVED SWORD, not as much damage, but it deals it fast with the spd. get two handed 2 on like sevorrts on tat or whatever you wanna fight thats low level, get buffed, armored, and head to dantooine and run a few quenker missions with no group for two handed 3 and 4, then for novice swordsman get in a solo group and run 3 lvl 99 quenker missions. dont use power hammer use two handed curved sword, do the defense tree first (u have spd already with sword) and when u get the third box in that tree off of quenkers (gives u melee damage mitigation 2) run huurton stalker missions until you master. i did it this way and my friend did as well and we mastered in about 7 hours.
