i finally got the guts and some good enough armor and buffs and food to go and solo my first elder today. after getting buffed, i swooped to the stronghold and immediately found an elder sitting outside the gate. i walk up to it and it pulls out a metal staff. i engage, and after an hour of mind hits it finally goes down. my medic skills saved me many times, as i got numerous bleeds and had to heal alot. i think the center of being macro also helped alot, and i didnt see as many KD's as i did when i was fighting one in a group. my template is:

Master Brawler
TKA 0013
Medic 4402

the fruits of my labor yielded only 1910 credits, but i wasnt in it for the loot. thanks everyone for posting suggestions.

Sup all, I am MB/MS/TKM and just solo'd my first elder! I used to be a pistoleer, but seeing as how the CU is months away (and I wanted to kick butt now), I went melee.I can takens rancors (total wimps), initiates, sentries, rangers, protectors, and spell weavers (a bit tougher)without problem. I saw an elder at the ns stronghold and said what the heck. I grouped with someone else who was there, but after attacking the elder he died pretty fast, so it was just me. As long as the intim stays on, no worries. Yea it took a while, and yea I only got some shards from it, but it was fun, woohoo!!

Congrats but becareful! Soon they become an addiction once you start to get the uber loot from them.

Congratulations on your first kill mate.

The guy above is right about it becoming an addiciton, i've killed hundreds looking for that uber loot drop, but have just dropped the Doc part of my Template to go Combat Medic 4004, brilliant fun for pvp, except in group battles im the first person anyone aims for now

Ya, i haven't gotten anything worth while off one for quite some time, but every time i go to or from the village, i always have to stop and ruin the day of the elder and her two spell weavers. I just can't help myself.

ever since I caught wind of a possible legendary hammer dropping (1600min-5k+max) I've had a constant urge to kill them. If it wasn't for BF goin up all the time, I'd just be doing elders all day---- or krayts. But hey, gotta share with the rest of the server after all =)
