I've given up on ranged Bounty Hunter for now, I'm really sick of saber-block so I'm currently working on my first melee profession, swordsman. If I keep BH 3000 is it worth mastering swordsman or can I dabble in it? Are there lunes of swordman that would benefit a Bounty Hunter more than others? Where else would you put your skill points?
I always said I wouldn't do a melee profession (not "star wars" enough) but I am really enjoying swordsman so far.

if you plan on doing swordsman with it make sure to get defenses and things frm other attachments and speed cap and get good accuracy.. then it can be decent

Don't do it - you won't be able to fit BH3000 with Master Brawler, your state defenses will be nonexistent, and it'll cost you millions to cap (a +8 2h SEA - or in a tape/plate combo in any denomination is going to cost you a decent chunk) in ADDITION to having to get 0004 Combat Prowess first, which'll chew up another 4SP, leaving you with only 30SP to futz with (and one would think 15 of those points would go into Nov. Medic, leaving you just 15...barely enough to pick up 0040 and leaving you defenseless against bleeds in combat).
TKM, BH3000, Medic 2040 is a better fit for melee hunting Jedi - it's overdone, but it's overdone because it seems to work well. MSM requires too much assistance - either from Master Doctor or the state defs of other profesions.
