Thread: A Question of 2 Hammers

I own 2 hammers that I made a long time ago, and I'm wondering what you guys think will be best to use in pvp. One has 435-535dmg(I like to call it my uber 4th gen polearm, you jedi know what I mean) and another thatis around 170-970.
I was thinking against other melee profs I should use the 435-535, since they have melee mitigation. Against jedi I was thinking that the 170-970 would work best, since they lack mitigation.
Am I thinking along the right lines, or am I crazy? All of your expert opinions would be greatly appreciated.

We would also need to know if you are speed capped, and if there is any difference in the acc mods on the two weapons
Btw, how did you manage to get such a high minimum damage on that first hammer, seems extremely high.

Was probably some nice acklay bones with the stats reversed/bugged.

Ah, my bad, I would be speedcapped with both. The accuracy modifiers I believe are all -40, whatever it is for crafted ph's. Lol I looted 7 +279min +80max bones. I made a stun baton and a powerhammer with 2 of the bones. Then I was told the bones were bugged so I contacted a csr who changed the remaining bones, he said he wouldnt do anything about the ph I made because the min damage wasn't higher than the max....as far as the 327min, 160max baton...I don't think I showed him that...

ok, in that case you answered your own question well
The high min dmg one is better against people with melee mitigation, and the other hammer is better against everyone without melee mitigation, due to high average dmg.

and he changed the damage on the stun baton right?

okay just wondering and letting you know that the devs do not like batons that are that damage even though you do use a power up. the reason the CSR's change the stats on them is so the stun batons dont do constant damage like that.

no, the baton is still at 327min and 170-something max. Since I don't want the server to crash when it hits someone, there's always a powerup on it, bringing it to 327min, 328max. It's pretty cool watching it hit for the exact same damage every time. The bones were looted back in the summer of 04.

Lol CSR's can't (by their own confessions) change the min/max damage on a crafted weapons, so when they find a weapon like that stun baton they just delete it.
