Swordsman Archive

I know there is technically no "best" race for anything, but what do some of the different races have as advantages over each other? I know wookies get massive HAMs, but no armor. Trandos get the regen. Zabrak get some weird things like equilibirum and vitalize (What do these do?)

What race fencer are you?

Do you wish you were a different race? Why?

What are some good elite professions to compliment a swordsman/fencer other than rifleman/pistoleer?

tans make the best brawlers, by far. Wookies make a very close second though, since armor is complete garbage, especially for a brawler.

still, just pick whatever you want, i just picked a human because i wanted too, they make kinda crappy bralwers, but oh well

Rhodians get +10 accuracy to both one handed and two handed weapons

Wookies get increased use of warcry (I would make this choice if also doing master brawler)

Zabraks make very good tanks for their built in equilibrium abilities and resistance to knockndows, etc..

Trandoshans make good tanks for their regeneration abilities.

This of course does not take into the stat pool differences.

Equilibrium takes damage done and distributes it evenly among mind/health/action

Take my friend Fel for an example, he got shot for 2700 damage by a Tuskan King. It lowered all of his stats to 0 but he was only incapacitated. He lived, the next shot for 1700 killed me because it was all in one stat pool. With much more common smaller hits, the benefits should be obvious, but to be clear... you will be less likely to get killed from a streak of bad luck on concentrated attacks to one pool.

I'm a Twi'lek. I wanted to be something that no one would expect, and I think I look cute holding my two-handed axe, hehe.

I'm wookiee and I find that I usually hit harder than other species. It is either my sword's damage or strength if that affects anything. Wookiees start with a lot of health and strength

I like Rodians the best for fencing or swordsman (espeicailly if you weer to somehow get good armor)

Trans make better TKA's

Wookiees can succeed at nearly anything. (maybe not tailor they'd have no way to advertise their skills)

I am a Mon Calimari swordsman currently. It is probably the worst race I could be for this class altogether. I have grouped with a wookie swordsman before and he had a worse weapon than did I, but was hitting easily twice as hard if not harder (my strength is maxxed out right now too).

However, I am pretty unique, at least on Lowca. I have never seen another mon calimari brawler, much less a two handed user. I can't even count the number of lizard or wookie brawlers I have seen, or even human ones for that matter. But never any other Mon Calimari's. I think fishmen look pretty dang cool carrying huge double bladed axes.

Statistically, if I had it to do over again (I never wanted to fight, but the crafting system destroyed me early in the game), I probably would be zabrak or trandoshan. They live a lot longer than I do.

Strength has NOTHING to do with dmg. Its all in the weapon. Anyways, i would suggest a wookie, tran, or rodian (me). I like rodians because they get massive action regen, altho the health regen is crapola. (ive got it maxed and its slowwwwwww)wookies and trans will be better tanks, but i think rodians look the coolest, so theres my opinion,

I picked zabrak because they have good innate defensive abilities. Defense against dizzy, stuns, etc. They also have Vitalize, which is a self buff, and of course, Equilibrium. Equilibrium has saved my butt more times than I can remember. I should point out this is an active ability, although a prior post says otherwise... I think you can use it once per hour.

Being a rodian helps so much if you want to use a two-handed curved sword. Specials primarily drain action, so I can spam two-handed sweep 2, greatly reducing the amount of damage the group receives.

Well, i didnt pick this race for this class in particular, but i almost always play humans in games -- I'm goin for looks here
