I hoped you guys could give me some info to help choose which melee profession I want to take with Rifleman (and some first aid skills, before anyone says anything).

I play as a trandoshan, so get a number of unarmed melee benifits. Are these benifits better than those you get for using a weapon in combat?

What does the two hand cuved sword look like, a katana blade? I was thinking maybe making my guy into a Trandoshan Samuri.

Which of the melee professions is better suited to combine with rifleman, and to a Trandoshan?

Please, for the love of God, don't take swordsman. Note how our board has the least amount of posts of any professions, even squad leader. If you need more proof, look at the expert sword finesse block in the swordsman skill tree. 120000 combat XP for nothing. We can't make things bleed, we can't make things fall over. All we can do is make things kneel, and on marksman, which is a good chunk of both PvP opponents as well as PvE enemies, kneeling benefits them.

Takes Teras Kasi. You can call which HAm bar you want to injure, you get meditate, and with vibro knuckles, you cannot be stopped.

If I wasn't so far into the swordsman tree I would strike for TK..........but be it as it may, I'm already a novice weaponsmith too and both professions take a LOT of grinding...........
