what is the difrence between sweep2 and area attack...

they both do damage, they both do an area posture down... what is the dif and why did they put 2 attacks that do about the same thing in one skill tree.

im a starting swordsman with alot of questions...

I wondered the same thing too and was wondering what the point was of having two skills that in effect do the same thing.. sweeps hit one person while the area attack hits multiple targets.. Not sure of the HAM costs for each but honestly being 4-4-2-3 swordsman, I haven't used sweep hardly at all.
