Is it just me or is anyone else having a harder time doing low level missions since the patch?

Did they weaken us?

Yep, i just died to a difficulty 24 mission, when using Berserk2, and its totaly useless by the way. I had an easy time soloing giant baz nitches, but now its different, Another stealth nerf by the Devs is my guess. And the funny part is, they will never ever read this forum, this post, or even touch and reply about Swordsmans or any other classes. There too busy cleaning up there own mess, and creating new messes. I hope they go down under.....

Yep, it seems now it's harder to kill things and (i'm not entirely sure about that) XP giveout is lowered

Glad I'm not alone. I got killed on a level 13 mission!

Mind you I have Offense I and Defense I. So I have some pretty damaging attacks yet I still got killed. I handled all the creatures fine until I hit the nest which immediately spawned 5 more! yes, 5. They were Giant Worrts.

Today I almost killed myself fighting just one rock beetle (and that's with assisting myself with Stim-C's).

Prepatch I would kill it in a bit more than half of my HAM bar (rarely used any stims).

Definately been nerfed, got owned by white con rot mites. Can usually destroy 4-6 with one sweep and now get beat down quick. Very not cool for a novice swordsman.

Yes for some reason I'm having trouble killing imperial officers that I use to kill in like 3 shots. Not to mention I can't get those missions from the rebel terminal anymore. It also seems my specials burn through HAM bars much quicker, I use to hit average over 1500 with 2hhit2 now that's the exception averaging about 800. This is with a decent 59-245 2h curved sword against non armored targets! This is not a good sign. But the devs are going to scramble a lot I mean a lot of ppl are pissed off about this patch. On a sign note has anyone found any of the PvE bunkers that determine who is winning the war...

9k hit = prone rifleman.. even then i find it hard to imagine =)

anyway, i don't see the problem, personally.. i think ppl are whining too much about the patch, and they're being paranoid.. maybe i'm wrong and there really is a stealth nerf somewhere, but so far the accusations ppl have made .. tons of em have been erroneous...

the 2h curved stats are fine.. and some ppl said its messed up.. as far as damage goes, i truly feel the pain of no berserk =(... i dropped CH last night.. the whole taming4/management3.. everything.. so iactually have to tank my own stuff now ... tried to solo a Nym.. thought i was going to the cloning chamber for sure

but i turned out okay =D (had to lead with mindshot 2, 1, and then heal up while hitting with sword... but i still won.. barely)

and my headhit 3 has been hitting for 1500-1800... (standing/kneeling nyms), and my mindhit hits for 1500 once today... that seems pretty good to me, no?... i personally never hit for 4k or 5k or stuff like that (of coures i don't watch the damage on their head that often, i'm usually busy healing friends/checking pets.. no more pets now)...

so for me, i'm doing my regular 2k damage with specials... what hurts is that my regular damage seems to fall within the 150-300 range now.. (on combat screen) which really sux.. cause with berserk it used to be 600-950 (i know thats not 2x.. but thats what it used to be)

ah well...

anyway, lets try out the patch for awhile before being paranoid guys =)

good thing to look forward to: i heard cleaver can be made way better now cause the crafting stuff is bla bla bla... (not a weaponsmith.. but looking forward)

I totally agree with MrTokai...and that is my personal opinion...

i also would like to add a couple of questions :

what's more realistic/normal ? to come out of a fight with someone being described as tough to you alive, but heavily wounded or to kill 4 of those tough guys with one hit ?

Can we bw sure that the move of certifications has nothing to do with the implementation of new weapons WE asked for or with some bugs weaponsmiths had which are fixed now and therefore change the nature of our weapons ?

If there is anything at all right now which makes me personally a little bit unhappy then it's the lack of information we have. But they sais they're working on it and hiring even people..so time will tell.

For now that's all i want to say and am looking forward seeing more comments coming in...preferably in my "the big patch" thread, which i created for this to have it all together in the end

Thanks

Gorecki

People are being paranoid.

Here's the deal: They boosted the stats of all the mobs, creatures and NPCs. If you were doing some damage yesterday with your sword and find it lower today it is because that mob is no longer the same. As far as I can tell, all the mobs in the game got a boost. So it seems you were made weaker but it's just that everything else got stronger.

Oh, that's the same thing isn't it? lol, either way.

For some good news: our main damage attacks seems to be more usable in combat now. Like more frequently with some damage benefits. You'll still be doing more damage to yourself than the enemy but at least you'll have a chance at being the one standing at the end of the fight.

I had no problems playing last night. I had never over-used beserk so I didn't miss it. I hit for 1700+ dmg with 2H Hit 2 a couple of times. I was able to solo yellows and live (with several stim packs used of course). Whites continute to be no problem. That's how the game is designed, if you are used to soloing reds through game imbalances, then you just won't be able to do that any more.

Guess we'll now have more incentive to group to take down bigger game, which is a good thing, fighting together in groups is one of the joys of MMPORGs.

An another positive note, it sure seems like I hit mobs a lot more often as I was chasing after them when they were fleeing. Maybe they tweaked the distance issue.
