How can people say that the TKA's do more dmg than us when we have weapons with speeds under 2 and dmg in the 250's? The best knucklers i have seen have dmg around 150 and speed around 1.5. The fastest you can hit is only 1 hit per second and with our speed bonusI figure we would be comming in right around there at master.

a couple of reason:.. in PvE actually we do similar damage, or i might even say that sword can do more =)..

of course we take a LOT more if we don't use pet while TKA takes none... cause of knockdown..

anyway some reasons:

1. according to a sword master, speed does not matter once u reach master... this does not mean 5s and 2s is the same.. but it means that 2.7s and 2s is the same (says them).. the thing is i think TKA does hit faster.

2. TKA gets bonus damage everytime they lvl.. i don't know what the total bonus damage is, but it certainly goes up to par with the lack fo damage on their weapon.. trust me on this... i fought a TKA barehanded and he won (i'm 3 box away from master with the best sword on the galaxy)

now on PvP:....... knockdown aside,

1. TKA takes 1/3 of the damage we do.. in short, we can't kill em =). ta da... unless we use our super 2k specials... 3 times.. lol (after patch that'd be 12 times)

2. we take almost full damage... so there u go.

beg to differ.

I kill TKA's all the time with headhit3....

more then likely one shot one kill.

im sure other swordsman have done the same thing.

a TKA with a high unarmed toughness will own a swordsman at the same level. Master brawler + master TKA > master heavy swordsman

Any other swordsmen out there with experiance dueling TKA? How do swordsmen hold up?

More then likely one shot kill a TKA, you kill them from the second the duel starts. You mind hit them, its all over. Damage wise, I've yet to see a TKA grouped with me outdmg me....(I'm sure theres people outthere who can though

sorry to burst the bubble but unless the TKA doesn't know what they are doing or afk during the duel, they should always win. The best of best swordsman would hit a master tka for 500 damage whereas they hit us for 1k +

btw thats 500 damage with a headhit3 =) not with regular attack... if u get in a nice shot that is..

oh wait, after the patch that'd be 125. congrats =D. now u get to hit em for 125 (if u're lucky to get the first shot off) before u twitch around in the floor for 10 secs getting hit for 250 per sec. (with the damage reduction)

whining? yes... justified? hell yeah!

TKAs also got their special attack damage boosted. Saw it today as I am usually grouped with a TKA.

Yesterday, I can outdamage him easily when fighting mobs. Today, he's hitting for 1k+ with special moves. And he can do it very, very fast.

Their animations are different but we both attack at the 1 second speed cap. Turn on timestamp and test it for yourself. I even feel bad for Teras Kasi =/ (Granted I am one) but right now one of their main attributes are speed and they get penalized by it most out of all melee classes.
