That would help improve our tanking ability and also help the ranged vs melee pvp situation.

it does... ranged defense means that the bullets actually miss. thats better than getting a percentage of a hit.

Ranged defense and toughness are two different things, toughness does not effect ranged weapon damage.

I think we all know that already. IagIag was just saying that ranged defense is already there to help us evade ranged attacks.

our range defense at master is +15, hardly anything compared to tka at 30, and fencer at 69 next patch.

And will hardly help when ranged profs. have +160 accuracy.

it would help a lot.
Hope they will try it at least at TC.

I hardly see how our +15 ranged defense stacks up well to professions' accuracies in the excess of 150. Alsothe fact that swordsmen currently are receiving a +0 change to both melee defense and ranged defense while riflemen are getting something like +40 more melee defense, is quite disheartening.

I do agree that toughness being applied to ranged damage would help, but unless our ranged defense is above +50, it's quite useless. Oh well, I guess this whole combat system and the way it's balanced is wearing on me.
