1) Attack Range – Swordsmen receive the message "target is out of range" too often.

Sounds like it’s a client/server problem. We’ll look into this for you.

2) Negative Modifier – Players are confused on where the negative modifier comes from and if there is a way to improve it.

We’ll investigate this and find an answer.

3) Special Moves – Expert Fitness needs a new skill or special, while 2h sweep and 2h area are too similar in what they do.

We need to better inform you of the benefits of all special moves in game. We'll work on that.

4) Scythe – While there is a certification for it, the players can’t seem to find anyone who can make it or drop it.

This is a quest weapon that will be coming soon.

5) Swords for Swordsmen – Swordsmen would like to see more swords offered to their profession. Right now the starting weapon for the swordsman tree is an axe.

More swords are on the way!

6) Armorsmith Power Ups – How do power ups for armor work? And can armorsmiths make them?

There are no armor power ups at this time.

My Question is:

This was posted on 8-12-2003, it's 10-27-2003 when are these changes and additions supose to come in? Where are those Swords that are on the way?

Hiya,

fixes for number 1 and 3 are currently being tested on TC.

Concerning the other points: things are being worked on and certainly not forgotten.

I know..probably not much of a help for now. What i can tell you though is that Des/Dev are aware of our and other professions issues and that they are being worked on. Lots of things have changed since we've sent out our first mail...to the good in my opinion. With Thunderheart having joined the team the correspondent program got its final boost to finally start working in my eyes and we see the first issues being fixed...some don't take much time to be fixed or added...others do...

Have a good start into the week

Thanks for the Reply Gorecki, but you not really the person I'm looking for a response from.

By the way, don't take offense but your post makes you sound like a SOE Corprate lacky. J/K

You seem to be enjoying the Correspondent Tag, just don't forget why you have that.

We need you to bridge our concerns to the Devs, not you making excusses for them.

anyway, just my 2 creds.

Lol...yep, i'm part of SOE's conspiracy to take over the world, had a brainwash and been converted to one of their agents...hehe

J/k as well....no offense taken

Trust me on this though: you would sound the very same way if you were in my position.

I'm simply reporting what i see, express what i think and try doing that with all honesty and i guess the day we will get a new correspondent you can ask him/her if your interests have been taken into consideration in my work on correspondent's board...nothing to fear here

A little off topic but Gore your awesome man, keep up the good work and I hope you decide to change your mind and stick around as our corespondent now that there is more communication comming from the devs side thanks to Thunder.

I am sorry, but we have no right to ask for fixes until tkas are made useful. How can tkas except to compete with the uber melee professions when they can't even solo a jedi (even though they can in eu!)?

I'm new to the swordsman profession (thank you sith holocron) but I must say that I have been very impressed with everything I have read from Gorecki. You are doing an admirable job as correspondant. Just letting you know that it is most appreciated.

We will get some loving

Some of the stuff might take a bit longer, other things might be added or changed sooner.

One thing is sure though: we will not be forgotten.

Have a nice weekend and happy scary day
