Thread: Any reason to still use Mindhit?

It's important to note that the random pool is essentially a bug and -will- be fixed. So while that doesn't help in the meanwhile, it will be most constructive to assume that this is fixed for evaluating the updated bleeds.

My understanding was that the "fix" was only to take armor and resistances into account when a bleed was applied. What seems to be the case now is that Mind Hit 2 has no damage multiplier.
Is this supposed to be how it works?
I find it useful if I want to make the person Im fighting laugh. IF it lands, its quite funny to see the little 35 damage pop up over the bleed symbol. Before, people would sweat if a Master Swordsman threw a bleed on em, now its laughable. I dont even bother with it in PvP.
Good to know that the initial shot doing random bar damage is a bug, but the fact that the bleed lowers my xp will still make it less useful than HeadHit3 for me.
well is it worth theHAM you're wasting to apply a low level bleed?
the best part about bleeds now is it makes your enemy stop and waste mind healing themselves. they do more dmg to their mind pool healing the bleed then the bleed does.
when im fighting iignore bleeds and focus on killing the bleedie, if you will, and heal it after combat.
if you have mind buffs and nicely stacked foods then sure....waste the ham and lay on a bleed as it's more of a psychological factor than actualy game mechanics.
but i find being a swordsman we really don't have the time to waste on such luxuries.
orDPS stinks (especially against armored melee's)so we gotta get in as many mind hits as we can.
stick with lunge2, then as many mind hits as you can get in. save the HAM you would use on bleeds for intimidate and warcry.
