Did that and he does not respond. Just looks at me after I use the radial menu to converse with him. Any other ideas?

What levels are you at? I think it depends upon that....

I had no trouble talking to him, but my friend tried to start the quests right after I finished and couldn't converse with him.

my friend and i both did it. we're both master heavy swordsmen, but he was holding his t-21 rifle the whole time (he's also a master rifleman). we both go the quests and both got the schematic.

I was talking to someone who couldn't get the quest (I got mine and finished it). It seems the difference was that I was a master heavy swordsman and he did not have finese 3 yet. Seems as though if you aren't certified for the weapon you can't get the quest.

Hmm, I did this quest with a brand new character, but things may have changed in the past week.

To answer Khycer's question, he's at 1390, 3198 Mos Entha, Tatooine. I didn't have a problem doing the quests, although I didn't notice that i got a data disk to the location of the loot at first.

I'm standing at him now. If I unequip my weapon (currently I'm going rifleman), he tells me I'm not strong enough and to come back. If I equip my weapon, he does nothing when I click converse. No window, no "I can't help you," no nothing. This is gravely disappointing, any further info StGabe?

I noticed the original poster is from Sunrunner... is it just broken on our server?

Ok, a bit of further info...

My fiancee's character tried, she's too weak and he tells her so. She's master tailor, master artisan, merchant with some pistol skills.

My friend tried, and he gave the missions. He's a master TK with pistoleer and fencer, so obviously you don't have to be swordsman to do it.

I'm a master CH, master scout, part rifleman right now. Maybe since I don't have an elite combat mastery at the moment I'm denied any message at all? If so, it'd be nice if the NPC told me something. We need an answer on this, I've been looking forward to this for a month.

When i try to converse with him he does nothing. Anyone else have this happen? Is it a matter of faction or just a bug?
