Thread: Doc or Master Brawler and Medic to go with Master Swordsman?

Since those on this board seem both informed and more newb friendly than many on other profession boards, I thought I'd ask for some advice.
I had originally planned to go Master Doc, Master Swordsman with skill tapes for speed, accuracy, and damage (maybe with some warcry undershirt thrown in)
However many posts here recommend Master Brawler for warcry 2 and such.
What are the pros and cons of each approach and how hard would the doc route be without warcry 2?
I mostly PvE. While I'm not averse to PvP and may try it at some point, its not really my dominate play style Atm. Mostly I just want to get take out some good mobs, explore some neat places and not die every five seconds and deal out some good damage with a fun profession.

It depends. I honestly don't see how anyone could play this class without Master Brawler. However, being a doc is good for self buffs and cure poison. In a PvE situation I would choose Master Brawler and hunt with a doctor friend. Doctor would be better for large scale pvp against combat medics. Warcry sucks so much without Master Brawler. You will notice a huge difference with Master Brawler. Intimidate 2 is also very powerful because it cuts your target's speed in half. Also wear a bioengineered shirt and and a bioengineered bandolier with bonuses to intimidate and warcry. 2/3 of the time your enemy won't attack you with Warcry 2. The 1/3 of the time that your enemy does attack, it will attack at half-speed. I think that is the best deal for PvE. In PvP, warcry won't do much when you are mind poisoned and mind diseased from 98m away.

Master Brawler/ Master Swordsman/ Doc 0340 is all u need. You will get good buffs with this and have the master brawler specials that are essential for melee IMO.
