Sorry if this has been adressed but i really want to make a wookie swordsman.I want to know some things and some serious answers please.

1. I want to be a master swords man, with the buffing tree in doctor and possibly TKA for meditate... but iw as wondering if somone can give me a good template with my choices for a very good pve charecter and a pvp charecter that doesnt totally suck and can do pretty good.ps. I dont really want to rely on ranged weapons alot. Im sick of ranged weapons hehe.

2. Is wookie really taht bad ? I like the awy they look so tahts why i want to make one but will i do terrible because i cant use armor ? If there is and its stat clothing what stats should i look for ?

Thanks alot all ! Serious answers please. Thanks

yeah you wont need TKA if you have doctor. I am also a master wookiee swordsman and it isnt too bad. I have master brawler and that works like a dream. i would recommend that

For PvE, Wookiee MHS at the very least, 4400 medic and Rancor become breakfast. Then with Master Brawler or Master Doctor, well everything starts looking like a snack

Currently i am a Wook. MHS with doc skills and hunt with guys in armor all the time, the only drawback for me is I cant realy spam an attack. The reason for this is you really have to watch your mind usage to heal yourself when need be. I find that this is actully enjoyable because you are forced to learn good tactics. Also with heal states and first aid all you really need to stay in a fight are good heal macros and food/drink/drug mind enhancers. You should be able to hold your own against anything.

Another cool bonus to having doc is getting tells from tka guys asking how did you just get up from my KD/Dizzy?

You wont be the best tank out there but i find it really enjoyable.

as far as the stat enhancing clothing question you asked:

The main problem wookiee's run in to is that so few or our clothing schematics call for RFP (reinforced fabric panels). RFP is a tailor subcomponent that you can attach combat related bio-engineered clothing enhancements to.

An uninformed tailor may even tell you that there are no wookiee clothes that can support combat related attachments--this is not so. Both the wookiee shoulder pad (the single one you wear on your left shoulder) and most bandoliers use RFP's.

as for the best ways to use your 2 available BE slots--use them both for warcry/intimidate. I currently have a wookiee shoulder pad and multipocket bandolier each w/ a warcry/intimidate bonus of +13, making a total +26 bonus (max bonus you can gain from BE attachments is 25). I now essentially land warcry/intimidate almost every encounter on the first try.

Hope that helps.

Ooooh and we're also getting AR1 soon...../drooooool

What? Are you saying wookiee's get some kind of ap1 or something or are you talking about a weapon because swordsman stuff is already ap2.

I am also a wookiee swordsman. Master swords/master doc but no room left for master brawler...is that really a huge perk....master brawler or is master doc better.

As much as I hate to say this, wookies completely suck right now for combat. Yes, you can do alright as a wookie if you are doc buffed and carry mind enhancing spices, foods and drinks. However if you compare directly to a human, the inability to put on 80% composite is a staggering drawback.

I speak from experience, as my main char on Chilastra started as a wookie and ground painstakingly through a dozen or so professions hunting holocrons. I finally gave up on holo hunting and went Master Doctor to be able to counteract not being able to wear armor. Then i started a new character on the server (human) and with doc buffs *and* 80% composite he mastered two different elite professions in a week. The disadvantage to armor is the encumbrance which is largely removed by doc buffs. From personal experience it's amazing how much better my human char is for PvP OR PvE. My wookie is now a master doctor, master musician who spends his day in the safety of the cantina in an environment where his handicaps don't matter.

It really doesn't hit home until you go to the geonesian cave. Watch your 80% comped mate down Crazed Geonesian after Crazed Geonesian. Now you try lil wookiee. Oh you were one-shotted while you were watching. Well, at least you got 700 extra stat points to fight those evil durni's with.

Thunderhearts IGN interview

Thunderheart: There is lots of love in the works for Wookiees I have currently taken a list of community requests to Blair for including them into the development process as soon as we are able. We also have some really great surprises in the works, but we can't talk about those just yet.

What were able to do, with the Core Systems correspondent was identify the player pain of "no armor" and come up with an interim solution. We'll be raising the Natural Armor class for Wookiees to 1 and that should really help things out quite a bit.

Boosha!

Erryk,

I totally missed this. Thank you. Love for the wookies? My furry face is creased with a big 'ol grin!

To answer the original poster's question. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't be a wookie. But it's taken me 6 months of playing to come to that realization and even now it's still a lot of fun. Currently, players with armor (buffed of course) will be able to take out things you can't.

With my build I PvE quite nicely. I can't speak too much to PvP. I've only done it a few times. Once I got toasted. The other I was part of a large group and we waxed the floor with the competition.

I guess what I'd ultimately say is if you want to be a wookie because you like them (as did I) then go for it. If there are in fact (he said hopefully) some promised wookie patches coming!

Sorry should have said "especially" if there are patches coming. Those would be a bonus- not a sole reason for going furry!

Darn- no edit post for a few more months!
