There not useless.. just not as useful as they were before the patch.
They still do damage, just not as much..

yes its useless. when you hit for 4,000 damage on a head hit a 200 point bleed is totaly useless. it would take 20+ tics for the bleed to hit the amount of damage that 1 Head hit will do. Plus it hits a "random" pool so most of the time you'll hit their healther or action and then their mind starts bleeding very very slowly.
Save the time don't bother bleeding anymore, just hit em in da head

Before the patch I was able to have 2 mind bleeds running for about 4k total. That is pretty effective on those 80% - 100% kinetic or blast immune beasties.
Now I can have one bleed of, on average 300.
Is it useless now? IMHO pretty much.
Ive taken it off my main hotkey bar. Not a lot of point in doing a random HAM hit and then a 20 second tick bleed doing 1/10 the damage of a head hit 3. Just hit HH3 instead.
Have we been nerfed? You betcha.
Compare swordsman to TKA. They have a large variety of attacks targeting individual pools and multiple pools, area attacks, powerboost, meditate, FOW...
And we have spin, area and sweep, all of which do the same damn thing. Area and posture down (rare dizzy on sweep 3)
I love the swordsman prof, its great fun, but we just lost the big item differentiation over the TKA prof, high damage bleeds.

Maybe people are simply using MindHit1 & don't realize they have harder hitting ones. I just spent 5 hours soloing rancors on Dathomir & the lowest bleed I got was a 345 when intimidated & using a 100 condition hammer (hehe, I forgot to repair). Once I got my damage sliced hammer out my lowest bleed was 876 with the average being around 1300-1400, highest was 3019.
Now, maybe 1300 is too low for some people, but every little bit helps. If you claim bleeds are useless, perhaps it's time to rethink how you hunt. Kiting isn't fun. Bleed 'em, scalp slam 'em & loot 'em. Toe to toe is what we're about. That ticking bleed can be the difference between winning vs 5 mobs hitting on you & losing.

Ok... maybe I'm missing something... But, I can bleed for 1k-2k easily. Come close to 3k, but I've never hit a bleed for less than 500.

Considering I was soloing bull rancors and taking them down like flies with my mind bleed, I would say the mind bleed is still very useful. Not as useful as before, but still very powerful.

I can solo 3 bull rancors at a time without using bleeds... whats your point? Mind bleed doesn't make sense anymore unless you are up against something massively huge that you plan on running from... even then most creatures that strong won't notice the 3 - 4000 that the mind bleed will tick off before it goes away
