I am thinking about giving up my Rifleman/Combat Medic template and try something new.

How does master Swordsman do in PVP?

Do you have any template recommendations?

I was thinking Master Sword, Master Brawler, and some other stuff but not quite sure.

It does pretty well when you don't have a rifleman sneak up behind you while in combat. The power hammer hits for me a lot more than I thought it would by people's comments in this forum. Warcry and lunge are great when combined with head hit 3.

I recommend you not going swordsman so I can win the skill tape auctions, haha.

/gasp

Its you!!!!

Yah I wanted to switch things up. Rifleman has become way too much of a bandwagon for me

But I am sorry to say I will keep bidding on auctions because I am pretty serious about this Swordsman thing....I swear its nothing personal.

Master Rifleman/Master Swordsman/Master Brawler is a good combination. If they are at range when you start, you can hit them with Headshots until they get close, then pull out the hammer and continue to whack away at mind.
If they start out close, pound on their heads with the hammer until they decide it is better to run, then pick them off from with the rifle as they run. Same works for the random pool attacks (Strafeshot2 with Rifle, and Area3 for Swordsman for area attacks and dealing with multiple attackers).

With Master Brawler, you get Warcry2, Intimidate2, and Lunge2. Hit3 and Area3 have a chance for Dizzy, as do the Flurryshots from Rifleman. Combine one of them with Lunge2 and you, too, can Dizzy/KD.

In PvE, it also rocks. At the Tusken Fort, I have hit for in excess of 8300 Hit3 doing a Lunge2 + Hit3 combo.

The only weakness is that it is more of an offensive template, so other templates have better defences. However, buffed and with center running, I have been dizzy/KDed on more than one occasion, and been able to drive off my opponent by standing and whacking them with the Hammer before I fell back down. One time, I was able to withstand the attack long enough for the TK attacking me to decide that, between my attacking him and others starting to shoot at him as well, that it would be better to run. He did that a second or two before the Dizzy wore off, so I was able to get up, grab my rifle and pick him off as he ran. So even without the high defenses against state changes or KD, you can survive with it.

Ive been owning in PvP latley myself... I dont get that nervous "OH CRAP OH CRAP WHAT DO I DO?!?" anymore...my heartrate goes up still but im calm enought to think fast now...

Swordsmen if played well (using heals, drugs, and food) can turn the tides of fights real quick... I recently was ble to fight off a buncha rebels by using good movement and line of sight breaking tactics... Putting em down like the traitorous dogs they are... one by one.

For PvP use the 2han curved... it hits more often.

Also the GAMOREAN AXE is GREAT in PvP... mindhits are the way to go.
I also recomend getting a knockdown.
