Thread: be wary when purchasing or attempting to acquire scythes.

You don't wanna be banned? Wait. It's only 2 weeks.
There is currently an exploit that allows you to enter the cave. Those who do it will tell you it's not an exploit in a lame attempt to cover their own actions.
Several tickets have been submitted to customer service about this issue and the CSR's have stated that these people will suffer consequences for their actions.
Just a heads up. I would hate to see any of my fellow swordsmen banned for something so stupid.

there is an ALT means for the cores.......I do not know it. But the weapons smith told me he did not exploit to get the schematic.

yes the scythe requires either 2 identical looted geonosian sword cores or 2 identical sword cores crafted by using looted geonosian cubes and a looted geonosian sword core schematic.
Which means this: absolutely no scythes can exist at this time that are not the direct rusult of exploiting.

The schematic is LIVE, the parts for it are NOT (that is why all those people are in the cave). And from what I know, it is considered an exploit. There are people even BRAGGING about it on some forums........

yes the schematics are rumored to drop off high level mobs like nightsisters. However, the GEONOSIAN components will only come from the GEONOSIAN caves.

the power cores are forma schematic the WS was making them not looting them. I talked to him a long time about how he got them. He said he had a powercore schem they were not loot drops.
He also stated that he had not gotten it out of the cave

A close friend had his account banned over the Smuggler exploits a few weeks ago and he didnt get it back. One simple, stupid, mistake and his game was all over.

Virus, the WS was probably lying to you so that he would not be implicated. If you read any of StGabriel's posts about the Scythe, he stated that the parts for making it are found in the Geonosian Cave. Personally, I would choose to believe our Correspondent who tested it on TestCenter.......but to each their own...

Well, I've made several scythes on test and all the components came from the Geo caves.
However, I don't know for sure that this is the only way to obtain these components. It is technically possible, certainly, that there are other means. Personally I don't think it is terribly likely that there is a power cube schematic, but it could be. If there were such a thing it would probably have to be gated by some other rare component we haven't found as I don't think that it is intended that anyone do factory runs of Scythes. But hey, maybe I'm wrong there.

alright folks, im here to tell you that nobody here can prove that they are right or wrong... and dont tell me that its impossible to get the parts because I was told by a dev that there are alternate means of getting the components. you guys know of 1 way of getting the parts, and you are basing your arguments on that. how can you prove that there arent mobs dropping the parts right now? you cant and when you do prove mewrong, i will support you. but until you do... plz stop flaming and trying to tell others that they are wrong, they may in fact be telling the truth.

alright since we're all about proof here, show us proof a dev told you there were alternate means of getting the components.
