Hello, i recently became addicted to galaxies, like i have so many other mmorpg's and in every rpg, i had a creature tamer/ Mace/hammer user. Naturally i chose the wookie class. WOW, wookies cannot use any armor, which at higher levels, vs higher lvl monsters just completely sucks. Is there any changes in the future to maybe make our clothing offer some sort of protective aspect, cause frankly as much as i like being a wookie, i might remake. Is there any Master wookie swordsman, who enjoy playing one and are actually as good as a non wookie melee fighter. Please, if there are let me know, i really enjoy being a wookie. Yammish

I have a wookie in my guild who is also a master swordsman. I can't speak for him but I can tell you my observations.
When any master swordsman is grouped with someone else and concentrating on the same target, it's devistating. Just like any other beings out there, you have to know how to use strategy to take anything alone. Using buffs, food and PSG's is always the mainstay of any character.
I'm a Dosh Master Swords and I rarely wear my armor. I do, however, have it hotkeyed and I'll put it on when I get in trouble. No encumberance penalties, wookie roar and war cry are going to be your best friends.

Are you wasting your time?

NO! Master Swordsman are very powerful. Use it wisely and you'll do fine.

Kill them all with the utmost prejudice!

After the warcry nerf you will be wasting your time as a human Swordsman.

Yammish,

The road to any melee class is hard being a wookiee. It took me a while just to climb the initial branches in brawler. One of my biggest limitations was that I couldnt heal. Made me have to think and plan a lot before going into a battle

With that in mind here are some suggestions...
- Pets, even Adv Probots with 40% armor can be your best friends. Send the pet in first, then stand behind it and start wailing. Get lots of pet stims if you plan on doing this with out medic
- Warcry and Intimidate are extremely helpful. I'd invest in a wookiee shoulder pad and bandolier with BE warcry/intimidate attachments (talk to any master tailor) I have +32 to those status effects.
- Master Brawler - As a swordsman, Warcry2 is the single handed best tool I have for defense. Lunge2 and intimidate2 are also pretty cool.
- Food buffing secondary stats work great when throwing specials, I loved Tat Sunburn which is not availble now
- Docter buffs help tremdously. I didnt know about them until I got novice swordman (after getting master brawler) But defenatly get these if you can find a doc or have the $$
- Group if you can! Swords can do a lot of damage and in a group its helpful to have other people distract the baddie
- Adjust you HAM around to suit your need. For brawler I have over 1000 in my health and action and 500 in those secondaries. then i forget my mind but i think the secondaries or about 400. But honestly I never get incaped in PvE because of my mind. Thinking of reducing my mind even more
- CoB before you go into battle and watch for it going away durning battle then hit it up again.
- I'd probably get some medic skills so you can use stim Bs
- Giant Biznatches on Dath are great XP! so are pikets on Dantooine, but better to fight in a group if you are taking on these guys

Thats just what I've learned over the last couple of months, cross your furry fingers that warcry doesnt get nerfed and that we get some sort of natural armor in the next patch!

I liked being a wookie swordsman much better before the bleed nerf but I can still solo most mobs still. I'm also a MD so I buff myself before battle Being a doctor, I can use Stimpack E's so I can usually heal myself pretty well. Only thing I have to watch is my mind. Going to try and get some personal shield gens and try them out. Dev's need to fix these or give wookies armor

However, I am halfway up unarmed to get to novice TK. Once I get it I will slowly start dropping swordsman skills.

Good luck,
