I was a MCH when I went the swordsman route and it definitely did help, but in the end you will do most of it alone. The pets are good to act as a tank in the beginning as you don't do a lot of damage and tend to be slow in your attacks. Send the pet in, let it draw the attention, then get behind it and swing away. You go through a lot of pet stims but can get xp relatively easily. Eventually, though, you will be able to do it all yourself without the pet, especially once you get the speed bonuses (which I suggest getting first)and area attacks. Just get buffed, some decent kinetic resist armor, and go to Dant (where I went) and do savage quenker or piket longhorn missions. I suggest the piket longhorn missions (which you can get by grouping with your pets) because1) the herbivore and leathery hide are more valuable than wild meat and scaley hide, and 2) they don't deathblow if something goes wrong (muon wears off at wrong time, etc). You get about 30-35K of xp per mission and they pay 12K each. I washunting so I could harvest mostly, soclimbing swordsman went quicker than expected. By the time I finished levelling swordsman, I had over 25K of meat and 15K of hides to sell, as well as all the money made off of the missions.

MCH is one of the best combat support professions to get started in a new combat prof. For ranged, it's perfect, however, for melee it takes some active playing. If you don't pay attention, you can be 10cm closer to the animal then your pet and the enemy will start pounding on you. Other then that and the pet stims you'll blow through (get a BE pet with light armour to minimize this if you like), it really helps a lot, because you don't need to wear armour at all (you won't get hit), allowing you to use more specials before having to worry about our heavy HAM costs.

FIRST, buy 70% resistant kenitic ubese amor, only 80k or so, then go to dantoine, if your starting out join some groups and you get mad xp, i got novices in 3 days there... then when you get novice try going out on some missions alone on dantooine and you get more xp, plus money... yeah i just got two first level skills in 3 hours today doing missoins there alone(no pets or droids).. so its good, its also good to be a master medic or so, because if your alone on the field its manditory to heal yourself when your killing things taht will incap you easily.. get a good weapon heh..

So shall i kill you now or later?
