Thread: Which weapon do you use to grind?

About to grind Swordsman. I will have enough combat xp to get the first 3 boxes which will allow me to wield a scythe. Should I spend the extra cash and try to get a scythe or should I use the powerhammer, bought one that has 4.0 speed 137-470 with -23 accuracy mods. So my question is should I use the hammer I just bought or pay for a scythe which will cost me 500k plus?
I did heavy axe to Twohanded 1, twohanded axe to Twohanded 2, twohanded curved sword to Twohanded 4, twohanded cleaver to Novice Swordsman, and since then I've been using a powerhammer. Just kept buying 'em 'till I got a 35% speed slice on one (2 32%s as well) then made a whole mess of 16.17% speed/32.83% mind powerups. The 35% speed slice comes out to be a 2.9 speed when powered up, and wow is it fun to swing.
(I can run an average of 8 Huurton Huntress lairs during the 39.5 minute duration on my brandy, including time-to-target and time to find two missions in the same direction)
And just for the record—yes I am grinding, but not for a holo. Hunting Krayt tomorrow night and I want to have mastered before I do. I intend to hang onto Swordsman for a good long time—it's the most fun I've had in combat in a while. ![]()

If your Holo Grinding and/or Money is of no concern, like it is with Alot of people these days, Thena few goodscythe will master you the fastest. If you are financialy challenged like me then Look for a Realy nasty high damage Curved sword(read around)and some powerups, if they don't exist on your server then Powerhammer
I wouldn't say money is of no concern to me (although outfitting my vendor-placing toon to actually fight was pretty expensive) but I did give my Scythe a try. It was just a wee bit too efficient. With the speed slice and a speed powerup (which I made to use with my hammer) I wiped out the Huurton Huntress lairs before they could pop the last spawn (whoops!) So it was either unpowered Scythe, which I did for a while, or my hammer, which I also did for a while. Love them both, couldn't pick between 'em.
