hammer has speed 5.4, max dam 610

All the scythes i see are speed 2.x and max dam like 300

My hammer cost 12,000 credits, the scythe costs 500,000 credits.

I do not PvP (now)

am I missing something about the Scythe? I know its lower HAM than a hammer, but is that it?

well my scythe was 325 before slice, and like 390 after a 20% slice. so after a power up the damage is like 440. swing at the speed cap with 440 damage is nice. but i really only use it if something is weak to kinetic, it basically just replaces the curved sword.

I found the scythe to be the best weapon for kenitc of course.. I do keep a power hammer on me for Blast cause it rockz.

But for taking down uber stuff with out ken resintance i use the scynthe a lot ..

Here is why and its just my opinion of course.

Power hammer at spd 4.9 with caps at475+ dmg or a little higher for me

with my 1.9 scynthe with a power up i can get it to spd 1.6 and dmg at 450+ so the scynthe is uber fast.

I love it.. I hated wating to swing that hammer..

Oh and 500K is crazy,, Ive seen them go for 250 - 300K, but that is crazy to..

just take the scynth quest and loot the items, I got my weapon smith to build 2 of them for 70K or so that is with uber materials also.

Thanks for all the info, and as for price, on my server I see them on vendors all the time for 750k to 1mil. I've never seen one for under 250k and was thinking that these were the pre-nerf KraytFWG5's for swordsman or something and I was just not readin the stats on them correctly.

I love my power hammer but at 1/3/4/3 i'm looking for a new weapon to swing

I just got powe hammer sliced,,, 5.2 speed ,, and 647 max dmg,,, that is without a power up,,, its a limited one day schematic from the single day crafting change,,,, some good stuff with a 34% dmg slice,,, go with the hammer most of the time,,, scythe is situational

The price is because of rarity. The powerhammer would be that expensive too if it was a limited use schematic and used rare loot items.

Its something different. The Scythe hardly ever is better than the Power Hammer. For PvE I haven't really found a reason to use it for the price. For PvP it is faster but does kinetic. Dmg mitigation is better for it than the powerhammer though.

The price is 40X more. Will it make you kill 40X faster? no. Will it make you kill any faster? in most cases no again. It is a novelty. For some people(myself included) it is worth the 500k, because honestly there really isn't that much else in this game to spend my credits on. I barely use it though. Mine ended up at about 260-440 dmg 2.8 speed I believe with no powerup. I had the luck of a 31% dmg slice. I went though 15-20 power hammers and the best slice I have gotten was 27% speed or dmg.
