Sorry if that sounds a little noobish, but I am Master Swordsman going for Master Brawler now, which will leave me at
80 Speed IIRC.
Now heres the question. Lets assume I get myself a +20 speed tape, what exactly does that do then?
Does "being speed capped"take the difference between weapons with 1.9 and 5.6 speed?
Best regards

if you cap speed, you will swing every weapon using every attack and special at 1 second per hit. you need 100 speed to cap anything.

Okay, thank you for your answer.
Now for the AA/CAs...
Lets assume I got a +4 speed in my legs, a +5 in my undershirt, a +1 in my bandolier and a +10 in my chestplate.
Do they all stack if they are all in different pieces?
Best regards

yes, also don't try to stack 2 attachments of the same skill in one piece, or else the attachment you tried to stack will dissapear. Also I don't reccomend putting anything in a chestplate as they decay fast. Put all your mods in ubese shirts, ubese bandoliers, and mabari belts. As a master swordsman with master brawler you only need 95 speed to cap with the slowest acklay hammer.

the more speed you have the faster you swing weapons, up to a time of once per second...
you cap out on a 6.0 weapon at 95 2h speed... which means from master brawler you need +15...
Speed mods are a percentage reduction, so that means with 100 speed you get a 100% reduction in the speed of the weapon.

Thank you very much guys, I know what I am looking for now.
So if you are speed capped as a Swordsman, PHs are the way to go as it seems, (PvP and PvE alike)
for the higher damage and the Blast damage type, as speed doesnt matter anyway then.
Thank you guys!

Look at my comparisons between PH and scythe in the swordsman PvP thread... then decide.
