Thread: Novice Swordsman vs. Nightsister Elders

I would like to have your opinions on which of the following boxes is most valuable in killing Nightsister Elders if I only have the skill points for 1?
Swordsman
a.1 0 0 0
b. 0 1 0 0
c. 0 0 1 0
d. 0 0 0 1

mm, u wont be able to with just 1 skill box, what other skills u got?

imo go 0010 -> 0410 -> 0440 -> 4440 -> 4444
spin2 is invaluble when starting.

Hes not starting though, it looks like thats all he can do.
You should use these points in something to help your other professions out. You would be so slow and inaccurate with a hammer that It would honestly be a waste imo.

Is it even possible for a swordsman to solo an elder anymore? Now that the NPC's can use specials and weapons, I have been getting owned by NS Elders. I can handle all of the other types of NS (it is a bit tougher now), but I think the Elders are out of my league.

If u are on the Ahazi server then drop me a line. A friend of mine is a master Doc who just started Rifles. She is looking for a swordsman to hunt sisters with. Elders may be too much until she hits masterRM, but 2 mind attacks is better then 1 (plus she can rez and heal)

unless you have other stat stacks, i dont think a novice swordsman with ANY tree can solo an elder. hell, some master swordsman with other defenses still get owned by them. but i guess it IS possible

My template is currently MTKA Master Pistoleer Fencer 4010

U can solo spellweavers, sentinals, protectors, rangers and stalkers as a tka....i wouldn´t recommand pistols or fencer-weapons....imo they deal not enough damage...and pistols lacking good aoe/con attacks....if u wanne fight them as a swordsman u need x414 for sure...to be master makes it easier cause u have more speed and accuracy...and speed+accuracy is all u need as a swordsman...and not to forget...u will need medic skills...since the npcs have there specials back they can deal lots of damage and kick your a$$ within 2 or 3 attacks....imo soloing elders without medic skills isimpossibile....

I've soloed about 30 elders, as well as Axkva Min with my master swordsman, master fencer, master brawler, 4100 tk, 2100 medic template since the recent patch. All you have to do is wear good stun resist armor, psg's, keep it intimidated at all times, and probably hit speed cap with a acklay power hammer. WhenI was just using a 851dmg powerhammer I was able to waste any NS with ease. The only problems I ever had was if it used a weapon that a psg couldnt block like a cleaver, scythe, power hammer, or lva that has ap2 (which then i took around 100-120dmg a hit), or they put one of there newly revamped 'sick' bleeds that tick for outrageous damage.

i fought an elder 2 days ago, i am Master brawler and master swordsman and tkm, fully buffed and 80% armour on,
i fought for 15 min but only managed to knock of 15K of damage, it still had 370K ham left , so i stopped fighting cause i lost 25% of my health bar (also the armour was mucho damaged lol ) mayby i did something wrong to only knock of 15K ham, it was with a scythe

Hmmm, Scythe and Elder? No no good idea...ph rules...cause eldershave 100% kinetic resistance...
