I am currently a master swordsman/tka/brawler/medic 2040. I enjoy soloing elders and other high end mobs...ya, I'm a loot whore. Anyways. I'm just looking for what I can use the most while fighting or defense wise.

Fencer:high defenses, completley useless on high end mobs IMHO unless I feel like coughing up 6 mill for a 400 max dmg acklay stun baton, and I don't because 6 mill for a PvE weapon is pointless. I would use my current template but fencer instead of tka. I think if I dropped 2xxx medix I would have enough SPs to get meditate 4.

TKA: defense acuity(I heard it doesn't work though but I think that person was delusional, any more info on this?)similar melee/ranged defense as fencer but lower states. From a defense standpoint they seem equal, 1 makes me counterattack more, but makes me more likely to get a state, and the opposite for the other.

Rifleman:mind damage from a distance, decent range/melee to help when the elder comes close although the mind damage from a distance wouldn't be that significant, although when it starts to run I can knock it out faster since sometimes they *poof*.

Is my current template doing ok? If you are going to offer anything other then switching tka for fencer or rifleman, make sure it isn't PvP. I have tried rifleman on TC2 while testing out the village(it stunk, the village, not rifleman). I didn't go do elders cause the PHs on TC2 suck, like 120ish or something-413, 413, crafted on scylla it's like 469-474, so elders were a no no,although the 85% armor may balance that. I will probably do a little play testing of any template that is suggested.

Sorry if some of the stuff in this post seems redundant. I like to lay everything out for me, and it helps me think and I think it may let you know why I would chose it and if it is a wise decision. Also, the search engine in these forums suck, and for the first couple of pages all I could find was speed attatchment questions, and other things that weren't much use to me.

tka is obviously a strong profession to tank with. you can get a knockdown attack and dizzy...then smack their mind around with swordsman and tka has a head hit too. i dont know much about fencer except its good for D. it has dodge and defence vs ---- stuff. ...rifleman would be good cause you could start shooting their mind from far and when they get close enough switch to swordsman to take over the mind hits. i dont know if having tka would do much for your D. meditate is a good thing to have.

right now im thinking of going master pistoleer/master swordsman and tka meditate tree. Pistoleer is a awsome profession and can only get better. it has the defences of fencer and dot shots...you get a good choice at weapon damage and you also get a ranged mitration (spelling?)

for your three choices i would go master rifleman/master swordsman/ tka meditate...you get mind damaging professions which go good together and meditate from tka

i'd have to disagree. Teras Kasi has one of the biggest Ranged and Melee defense bonuses in the game. I personally only use fencer for PvP, anywhere else among the high mobs it is useless. I used to be Master TK, Master Fencer, Master Swordsman, so i could compare which i liked best. TK got dropped for the sole purpose of trying pikeman, it's a great profession i'd suggest you stick with it. So pretty much- Master Swordsman, Master TK, and a little medic or rifleman.

I am going Master Brawler, Master Swordsmen, TKA 4/4/0/0 and maybe a bit of smuggler on the side. If not smugg then I would dablle in scout for the train and allt hat good stuff. - maybe have enough for novice ranger or something.
witht he 4/4/0/0 TKA I get Meditate and knockdown, then I can pull out my sword and whoop some arse. For PvP would it be better to pick up Fencer as well for even more defense... I think I could get close to capping out with the 2 TKA trees and Master Swordsmen.

With all the controversy towards defense stacking, I can't help but feel major changes are coming. In that light, I recommend mastery of professions you are interested in to protect yourself from any changes that might come in future patches. I went for a triple combat mastery: Master TKA, Master Swordsman, Master Brawler. I have great defenses and I do very well with this setup. I usually wind up using TKA to apply states, dizzy/kd, and tank with - Swordsman for damage dealing. It is very powerful;a common tactic I use is warcry2, slap on intimidate 2, apply blind/dizzy/stun with TK skill, attempt a kd, then whip out the sword and start laying the smackdown.
