This should probably go somewhere else
But..im a swordsman first and foremost, everything else about my character is their to support and enhance my swordsman skills.
Ever since that holo told me to do master swordsman ive loved it, never wanted to change to another profession, never fancied grinding more proffessions.
Soi look at my template and see defences were a bit poor...i take some teras kasi...master brawler..some fencer..and keep novice scout..cos i like to kill things but hate to see waste-)
Everyone around me is grinding jedi..i dont care..i like swordsman. Mmmmm another character would be handy i think...ive got a fighting machine. so when publish ten came out i was looking forward to getting melee speed to keep and any old rubbish lines for the other 5 needed to get to padawan trials and my second slot.
whats this though!! once i become padawan and open my second slot i cant drop it or any of the lines i got to get there. I dont want or need anything other than melee speed..so i either got for padawan and mes up my template (20 wasted points) or i dont get a second slot.
i could allways open my second slot and turn that into a swordsman..why the heck should i though?
sorry ignore the above im ranting, im just really really fed up that im being forced to take skills and hurt my swordsman in order to get a second slot.

I'm pretty sure that you can drop Padawan and the other FS skills if you want once you unlock your second slot although I don't know of anyone who has done it. You just can't drop the FS skills and still be a Padawan like many of the Jedi want to do to get back those skill points.

all i want is a second slot without spending points on useless stuff (for me) to get it.
spoke to a few guildies that are jedi and they all say same..second slot opens after padawan trials, and you cant drop padawan.
tbh if my template gets messed up why continue with it..may as well be a sheep and go jedi..sweet damage, hardly resisted.
but then again if i have such a good damage dealer(at the high levels) why would anyone want to be any other damage class? in fact jedi using certain templates seem to make some and parts of other ordinary classes redundant.

You can drop Padawan. I know plenty of people during the Pub 9 testing that dropped all of their skills including padawan and were screwed up because they had no other way to reallocate those skills other than a Dev/QA. Have they tried dropping padawan and then their FS skills?
