Hi does anybody know what is the speedcap for a swordsman and has anyone looted any good dot weapons and if so which npc did you loot them from

The speed cap for every profession is 1 hit per second. swordsman need about +96 speed to hit at the cap with any hammer.

As for good DoT weapons, these are probably the 3 most popular ways to attain one:
1) Jabba's Theme Park. After completing one of the quests (for the guy in the garage, I forget his name I did them so long ago) you get a Gamorrean battle axe as a reward. While it's not a very powerful DoT weapon, it is a place to start - and you're guranteed to get it, disregarding the luck factor of looting.
2) Janta Missions. Every once in a while, you can loot a Janta knife with a mind poison. It may take a while, though, due to the scarcity of Janta carrying anything at all. I'm not sure if they can drop other DoT weapons.
3) Night Sisters. Probably the most dangerous method to acquire a DoT weapon, now that they have their weapons/specials back, but also the highest potential reward. Any of the NS will do, but you're probably best sticking to Spellweavers and the other ones with ~20k HAM (forget their name), andProtectors. Just be careful if you've never hunted NS before that you don't engage 5 or 6 of them at once.

Thankyou both for your help . I have not been to Darthmir to hunt NS since the nerf I could take 5 on no problem before but next I go I will only try to take on 2-3 max and see how that goes

Someone in my guild looted an exceptional 2handed sword off an elder with a a 300+ strength mind fire...

Janta knives are ok, i looted one last night with 2 seperate mind poisons on - both very similar (110str/117str) not sure if they'll both stick at the same time? the potency on the second one is great either
But yeah, Nightsisters are ur best bet for Uber loot - u'll no doubt have seen the Uber PH with 2k max dmg, 2.1spd and 770str mind poison looted on here on Infinity... and to think i was planning on going back into PvP soon... might have to reconsider
