OK here goes

Master Brawler
Master Swordsman
Melee Speed+12 (Force Boxes)
Teras Kasi 4-0-0-0 (For Meditate)
Medic 3-1-4-0 (For Stims)
Fencer 4-0-0-0 (Added Defence)
Pikeman 0-0-4-0 (Added Defence)
+ 3 in Attachments to Speed Cap

- 1 skill points left.

Benefits
Centre of Being
Force of Will
Powerboost
Meditate
First Aid (Remove Bleeds)
Warcry 2
Intimidate 2
Taunt (Stop Enemys Running)

What do you all think?
Mainly this template has been designed to fight Elders/Krayts/NightSisters/Nyax/Large Groups of Mokks etc..

I am aware of the Combat Upgrade but i might aswell get up as much defence now as possible and have some fun.

all you need for elders ->

80% armor, Speedcapped PH, First Aid


rest is a bonus, same goes for krayt, except all u need is compo armor and a headhit/intimidate macro .

Against Elders and Krayts(big ones like giant canyon etc.) forget about melee defense....the tree of fencer is imo useless...elders tent to bypass any kind of melee or state-defense... even as an master swordi/fencer/pistoleer 1040 with capped state-def. they put the triple state-thingy on me...i never saw a miss in my cobat-log...all i saw was a counter-attack from time to time...But if u wanne build a defense-stacker i would go for:


Master Brawler/Swordi/Pike 0040/Pistoleer 0040/Medic 2030...U´ll have some nice state def. as well as ranged migration2...And 12sp left to spend in some usefull FS-Skills...

I have a question thats off topic.

How much defense vs states would a player need to become immune to them?

I was looking at a template like this.

Master Swordsman
Master Brawler
Fencer 0/0/4/0
Pikeman 0/0/2/0
Pistoleer 0/0/4/0
Medic 2/0/0/0

My character is human,so no free defenses for me.

Yeah i would seriously drop Pikeman line, waste of good Skps, you only need 2040 in Medic to be completly efficient. Devote the rest into Fencer Defenses

If you're going to be PvPing and or high-level PvEing, you don't need to be anywhere near capped in melee/ranged defense. Ultra-high-level PvE targets ignore m/r def entirely, and diehard PvPers have more accuracy than you'd EVER hope to have in defense.

My template is:

Master Brawler
Master Swordsman
TK 4304
Fencer 2440
Medic 2000

249SP usage

When Phase 2 rolls around again, I'll drop down to Fencer 1440 and pick up the FS Melee Speed line to assure my capping with a Hammer in case the Devs decide to pull a Commando-style nerf on our main weapon.

there is no immunity.. just lowers your chance of getting stated.


i have the ultimate template im going to have one of my toons get. i'll post it later but its pretty original to the best of my knowledge. not a bad template posted tho.

So if there is no "immunity" to status attacks,what numerical value of each def vs state should I aim for?

I'd recommend dropping the 4/0/0/0 fencer in favor of 4/0/0/4 TKA. That will save you 6 skill points. Plus, pikeman isn't exactly the greatest for defenses.
