scythes also have medium armor piercing and are more accurate and have less HAM costs, but if you are speed capped go with the 800+ PH

I'll take my PH any day since I'm speed capped. Except against some SMC mobs with their darn blast resistance. Really the only time I use my scythe is in pvp to land states on stackers.

i say PH ftw!! Doing a krayt with a scythe eats up the condition really bad on an expesive wepon

Scythes are more accurate and faster than PH's but have a higher mind cost and lower damage, so if you hit speed cap they are worthless as a damage dealer compared to a good PH. Mainly I use a scythe in PvP, due to the increased accuracy, and on enemies with high blast resists.

PH's are currently my bread and butter, once you speed cap very few weapons can out damage a good damaged sliced PH (plus PH's canuse ackley bones) also the lower mind cost saves money on mind buffing food. Problems with PH's are it's high speed if you arn't speed capped and it's lack of accuracy can be a pain sometimes.

So for me it's Scythe: PvP and rarly for PvE

PH: PvE

btw also consider cost, a stock PH (10k)has about the same max as a scythe (700k or above) that's another reason i don't waste my scythe on PvE that's better done by a PH

what does more damage vs a krayt? a 35% damage sliced scythe or a 35% damage sliced powerhammer? The scythe is faster. But the powerhammer has a little more damage + has armor piercing 2.

Power hammer by a lot in my opinion, in pvp scythes do not do much at all really to someone with an 80%kinetic helm, while a good power hammer can hurt quite hard on all but stackers, power hammers are also better in pve whether you are speed capped or not, as scythes do not hurt elders and do little damage on krayts

i use scythe on certain SMC, the acklay, and sometimes just for a change of pace, but powerhammer pwns all, oh except my Nightsister Energy Lance

scythe 280-480 damage is way better in pvp with -1 +6 -1 range mods

my hammer is 879 but misses way too much w/ -39 range mods even though i have +25 accuracy
