Thread: Something i don't get... Damage in PvP
- Get speed capped
- Get a bigger PH
- Get more acc or eat food
Okay that what you need first. Against jedi you just need to be the armor out of him so he gets low on force.
Do headhit3 when you can to them because that swordsman best attack. Dizzy/KD when you can.
On my server I'll slap a jedi around 1 on 1. Then again a 930 without pup PH does that ![]()

Can i get a short explaination how you jedi hunters proceed? For me, the dizzy of hit3 doesn't stick often enough to keep the jedi on the ground and even when they are knocked down i barely deal any damage.. i think i couldn't even beat a knight who doesn't heal at all....
When i was a fencer it was completely different... even the dizzy hits seemed to do more damage against jedi than twohandedhit3 does now...

a few things. First, PvP is a 75% damage reduction, not 25%. That's space you are thinking of. Second, the differences in rifleman vs swordsman are defined by mitigation. A Rifleman has no melee mitigation, while a masterswordsman melee mitigation 3.
If you are fighting a heal Jedi (heals intim, heals all states, heals full HAM) you are probably in for a long fight. Your best bet is to use hit3 till you stick a dizzy, use a KD move (note: Jedi can attack from kneeling, so a posture down move won't do much) and then spam the heck out of hit3 and hope your dizzy sticks after they heal it.
If you are going against a defender (force armor) press hard and fast. Don't try to land states, you probably won't. Your goal is to drain his force pool as fast as you can. Use /hit3, not headhit, because the damage that it spreads of the 3 pools takes more force to heal, and it has a higher damage mod.
Other things to keep in mind:
If you can't heal, don't fight Jedi. They will outlast you every time.
Keep a Jedi intimidated at all times. Replace your intim icon with a macro: /ui action clearCombatQueue;/intimidate(1 or 2) This will clear your combat queue for you, and give you an intim.
Get speed capped. Swords are slow. Fix that.
Get an Acklay PH. Jedi have no mitigation, so feel free to get the nastiest high damage PH you can find, and whack away.
EDIT: and get some +40 accuracy snowcake. Acklay PHs all have -40 accuracy mods, you'll need it.

As a jedi anda swordsman i hope i can shed some light on this. First you need 0200 enhancer for force armour not 4000 defender. FA1 is a 25% damage reduction coupled with MLS saber toughness which is a 55% reduction if they can Intimidate you thats another 33% reduction some synthsteak at 45% (i prefer exo protein only 5 filling for 25% reduction) and your up against 90% + armour. It works well against single apponents quick fights, because its very force intensive any more than one opponent it will probably drain your force bar to quickly.
As for ways to fighta Jediusing this try to keep them intimidated stunned and get them on there back if possible, then possibly run away.
What makes me wonder against jedi is, that even the combat log (before armor, synthsteak,... appeal) shows like 100 damage per hit... whereas against other non-jedi targets it's way, way, way more.
