Thread: Pricing ? for a 2H Axe
I bought my Two-handed Axe off of the Bazaar for 3K (which is of course, the "broken" limit), but it's stats are so not good. My old Heavy Axe has significantly higher damage range and wound chance.
As for the price of a decent Axe, it would really depend on how much better it stats are compared to the best Heavy Axe, and how much people are selling those for.
I think more people are going to be interested in the higher level two-handers, though. The Two-hand axe is pretty baseline.
I wouldn't charge much more than 6-8K for a Two-hand Axe that's better than a good Heavy Axe.

I just picked up a very nice 2-handed axe on the Chilastra server for 3000. I searched and searched because the only ones I could find just didn't overpower the Heavy Axe I was using. I persisted, because I knew the 2handers were still new and the smiths were still working on them. I finally foundan incredible 2hander with great stats...much better than my Heavy Axe, which was modified nicely itself. The Heavy Axes generally have high damage, but the minimum damage is normally very low. When looking for a 2hander, I noticed that the minimum damage, and in turn, the "variance" was better, but the high end was lower. Mine has 79-150 damage with a speed of 5.2. Most of them were 5.6 speed if I'm not mistaken. I also noticed that mine has a wound chance of 17.54, which is significantly higher than all of the other 2handers I saw and even better than the heavy axes which usually had decent wound chances. The HAM penalties are still relatively high, but were still less than my heavy axe, which was lower than the standard. If you want to see my 2hander, send me a /tell in-game and I'll show you. I guess it has the name of the crafter who made it, so you can maybe talk to them about getting one. They are obviously very good or very lucky to have experimented so well to come up with this one. It was the ONLY one on the server that was worth replacing my heavy axe with. Of course, it has been almost a week since I got it, so I imagine there are a ton more out there that may compare. This game is advancing so fast it's scary....I hope it doesn't play itself out to quickly. Alot of masters out there already.
