Are they worth putting back on the toolbar after this publish? Anyone try them yet?

God I want my bleeds back.

Yeah the initial damage for mindhit2 hits the mind now... It hits about as hard as Headhit2... but then its about 10 seconds for the tick and the tick is crappy. So just use headhit3 instead....

Before the change, I would agree with you. Prior to this, when you bled something, there was no intial damage done. The first damage would not tick off for 20 seconds. That mean that you had to wait 40 seconds for the bleed to be worth more than a single hit with an equal immediate damage type of an attack. If the fight did not last that long, then the bleed was a waste of time. Not so anymore.

Now, because the MindHit does initial damage and to the pool you are targeting, you actually lose little by applying a bleed first. The intial hit damages the targeted pool immediately. Then subsequent bleedsadd to the damage done by the initial strike. So, now, if you hit them with Mindhit2, you get about the same damage as HeadHit2, but the damage will continue for 9 more ticks. Thus, if the fight lasts long, you get a lot more damage (the inital strike plus up to 9 bleed ticks) than you would with a single hit of HeadHit3.

It may not be as useful as it was a while back with the stacking and higher damage, but it is certainly a viable replacement fora single HeadHit3 in a long drawn out fight.

They just dont have the might they used to... I went carbineer after the bleed nerf from riffles. I used to be able to insure the death of ANYTHING i fought by sticking it with 4 mean mind bleeds. This 100pt tick thing is garbage.

But its true... if your not going to kill the beastie in 20seconds with a few wacks to the dome that little bitty tick helps a little bit...but not much at all. If they increased the time of the ticks it would be much more helpful... like 5 seconds a tick. Even then if all nine ticks went off it would take 45 seconds to cause almost 1000pts of damage + whatever your initial hit was.

But right now they still suck... If Its a life or death situation and Im depending on that bleed to get me through the fight... im going to die.

Even when im with my riffleman pal and my TKM/doc pal and were fighting big mamajammas ...bleeds are a waste of a hit that coulda been better used as a more damaging mindhit.

So that would be a resounding "Hell no" to answer my question as to whether they are worth using.

The only time I found bleeds to be of any use was when I was fighting a couple of 80% resistant force crystal seekers.

I stuck a bleed on the first one, then turned around and whacked the second one for what seemed like an eternity, when that one died I went back to the first one who had lost a couple of thousand mind, but really, they're almost a complete waste of time now.
