What are the base stats on Rancor teeth?

What Swordsmen weapons can I put the Rancor teeth into?

Why do I want to put Rancor teeth into my weapons?

What are the benefits and drawbacks to using Rancor teeth?

Thanks!

Base stats vary from tooth to tooth, but I think the regular ones are 5min 50max (don't quote me on this, as I destroy them if they aren't yellow).

They can be used in any weapon that needs a sword core, they act as a replacement for the weaponsmith crafted cores.

Using good Rancor teeth can greatly increase your max damage, but usually leaves the min fairly low. It will also bump your speed up making them undesireable in most everything except curved swords.

I think I covered the benefits and drawbacks above, but let me throw in an example.

I had looted 3 rancor teeth (stats escape me) but the main was yellow (not exceptional). I had these made into three curved swords by the beautiful miss Jaclyn (Starsider). These swords came out with base max of ~370. This is compared to the usual 240ish of a regular curved sword. However the base speed was 3.6 compared to the usual 2.8.

Two of these swords were speed sliced, one damage sliced.

I mostly use them for taking out lairs now, but I needed to see what kind of sword they would produce.

So the moral of this story is, really good rancor teeth will produce decent curved swords. Regular rancor teeth are useless.

Rancor teeth Can be really worth it though. My weaponsmith is puting them into 4 powerhammers for us his usual hammers are like 5.7 speed and high 500's low 600's max damage unsliced. with these teeth (Min +35 Max +187) will out way the speed +.05 these are exeptional teeth. So my max damage hammer with around 780 max damage with about well if experiments toward ham or speed (weaponsmith) could get 5.7-6.0 speed. with a speed slice these hammers can be great so not just curved swords but all weapons canbe good with good teeth, but you do need GOOD teeth.

Rancor teeth replace the Sword core, not the reinforcement core. Power hammers require a reinforcement core. Acklay bone replaces the reinforcement core. Ifyou're putting the teeth in power hammers, there's something wrong.
