Hi, im just about to master swordsman, which is a proffesion ive loved and want tog et involved in sum PvP. Hiwever i have had a go at sum duels, and i keep getting nailed by dam tkm's. so my question is this, can swordsman hold their own in PvP or are TKM's unbeatable. Btw my only other skill is master medic atm, im working on doc. If it is possible what is a good template for attack, ie;_ area attack 3.....two hand hit 3, 2 hand hit 3, sweep 2 etc eyc. ive tried quite a few different methods but none seem to work. also when fighting kunga ive noticed they can sumtimes be made dizzy, wot skill does that???

Get master brawler and use intimidate2 on the TKM's, and hit2 until you land a dizzy on them and then lunge2 then do as much headhit3 as you can. MHS is very tough in PVP but possible to win with some tactics unlike the mindless spams TKM's do.
Give it some practice, I beat a TKM the other day (he's the same guy that beat 4 Jedis in Coronet recently) but I think it was my luck.

hey dont bach TKM please, the only thing that deserves bashing is CM's.
i can kill anything except a combat medic
can u say 900 damage per tick of unmitigated mind damage? :/

If you win with DOTS, you have NO SKILL... Or the combat medic profession.
Nice weapons does not = skill

Well then perhaps we should talk tatics for large battles becuase that is what PvP implies. Dueling is one on one.

I have CM on my doc toon for the area heals, it worked great in the Corvette last night. I tested a 266 and a 308 strength action poisons and damn they take the ham down rather fast, I too think CM's are in a call for a PVP nerf.
As rarely as I PVP, I love using my Scythe and occaisonally my Long Vibro Axe (I'm no Pikeman DOT'er) and I like the challenge- and with the /showpvp system it brings up the addreneline.

Unless you have amazing armor, and incredible SEA's, Master Swordsman alone, even with Master Brawler, is currently noteffective in PVP, and its sad, I know. Master Swordsman have very low melee and ranged defense, and I believe only 15 defense vs knockdown. For you to be effective, you need to match it up with another profession to add defense, like Fencer or Teras Kasi.
