I'm wondering if there's a Hard Cap on Power Hammer damage overall... my exceptional from before the CU is 1238 max, but when I apply a 33% max damage powerup, it'll only hit 1440.... an only 17% increase...

seems not to work for me, my 34% or so dam pup on 1109 only brought me to like 1240

Powerups don't base their increase on the max damage of the weapon, but on the min damage. So a 30% damage powerup applied to a 500-1000 damage weapon would turn it into 650-1150 (500-1000 + 500*30%), not 800-1300 (500-1000 + 1000*30%).

If you remember correctly, the max melee dmg powerups pre-CU was abotu 17%, im wondering if that is still the hard cap regardless of what the powerup says..

from blixtev:
"To be added in the future is min/max damage validation, accuracy validation and speed validation, as these all deal with potential power-up calculations, plus the base weapon calculations the risk of permanently ruining a weapon is High. So we are going to wait on turning this part of the code on until it has been tested as much as we can."
it looks like there are supposed to be caps for pups also. maybing something along the line of diminishing returns.
