well i just switched from rifleman to swordsman and need to know the best weapon
e.g. the best rifle was the adv.laser rifle
so what will thebest sword be.

A low-SAC 1k-ish PH, and personally I think the Xris Acid Sword (though technically a 1h weapon) might warrant some attention.

Unfortunately the powerhammer is. Its is totally stupid for a swordsman to use a freaking hammer.

I havethe PH, the 2 Handed Sith Sword and the N-K Executer. I've used them all unsliced and puped. The N-K Executer and Sith Sword do just as much damage for me as the Power Hammer. The Sith Sword also does an additional 50 points of elemental (Cold) damage. I recently had it fully sliced by the excellent Ista and it is now a complete TERROR!! Two or three specials after a KD and AB and it's lights outmost high levelmobs.

Where does one aquire the Sith sword? I was about to go run the quests on wookie world to get the other swords having seen the dmg output listed in some post as I am tired of PH's but I would love to get the Sith one first.
Question about the PH's...why don't they sell anymore? I ask a WS..I have tried making a variety, max dmg/speed or low sac/dmg...problem is it's not cheap to get all three stats high...it's get 2 out of 3 maxedand make the PH affordable to grinders (even at 20k on the bazaar on Dantooine, they ain't moving)...PvP class obviously means people will spend the cash to buy the best but I just want to sell to masses for PvE atm...
What's the grinder's choice in terms of stats then?

Powerhammers unfortunately, next to that is the N-K Executioner (or Sith sword). Pre-CU converted Powerhammers still sell, it's too difficult to make a decent damage PH post-CU without penalizing SAC, best PH I've made was something like 500-1106 but SAC was 119 then a 90 SAC with 859 max dmg, that's why they aren't selling very well anymore.

ive seen post-cu crafted hammers post 1100 dam max, below 90 sac. i have one of them.
post-cu crafted hammers are better than the converted one, unless the convert was a legendary or exceptional in some cases

That's thefunny thing...I cant keep enough 2h-curved swords in stock...I max out the DMG/SPD (don't even remeber what base SAC is..104 or so?) to include slicing at level one on bothand they sell fast...so all these folks are either stopping short of Master and don't need hammers or just don't want them?
500-1000k dmg and 110 SAC can't be all that bad using speed pups can they?Or is it becasue the took blast damage away after CU (or am I wrong and PH didn't have blast?)?

Unless you find one of the very rare exceptional Powerhammers with 1100+ dmg 90 SAC and back it up with some 2h-speed tapes the weapon of choice is a 2-handed Sith Sword.
It comes with a moderate/low SAC and a fast attack speed. Most people only check for base dps not taking into account that the weapon comes along with a 50 elemental/cold damage. Most peep tune their armor for energy/kinetic damage and elemental damage is not calculated in base/modded dps.
When you slice it 8%damage it's hell on earth.
The executor comes with almost same stats except no elemental damage but 11 2h speed. Since speed mods cap somewhere you can substitute this +11 2h speed with skill-tapes sooner or less.
So if you cannot afford any skilltapes go Executor
If you can affort some +15 speed tapes get the Sith Sword
If you are rich or have WS friends get an uber PH.
In the long run i swear on the 2h Sith Sword.
