I know ppl say how great that combo is if you can afford the armor..but my question is how viable a tank can you be without imp COB? Im working on TK right now and believe me ive noticed the diff in COB and Imp COB....i mean logically thinking..swords and pikes is an awesome combo...but without the COB is it possible to tank high lvl content?

for pve tanking TKA is better for the Improved CoB.

For PvP that does not involve starport dueling Jedi then one of the best melee fighters on Valcyn is that combo.

Just use Sword Flurry with CoB to make up for the lack of Improved CoB... The two attacks stack.

ty for the rapid responses..i guess ill try it and see how it works out....im am serarching for a beneficial temp for my guilds hunts (loot runs) and we are always in need of a good melee temp for tanking ...we always have a cpl docs or cm's so i may just forego the doc and pick up imp COB..but ill test it and see what works for me

this is true, my build is 0100 tk, Mswords, Mbrawler, 0040 pike, 4004 doc and i love it, any time you get close to a tough spot, you can jus stack a cob+warcry+flurry and intim/warcry are amazing, as far as tk goes id rather wear armor for the armorbreak slices.

Thanks for the props. I personally love mpike/mhs/4xxx doc, you can even tank in pve more or less decently with the CoB+flurry that was mentioned earlier but not as good as imp CoB.

When it comes to group PVP though, area KD, area sweep, warcry and intimidate can change sway the tide.

those builds would be moreequal then one being better then the other, because Imp.Warcry+Imp. Intimidate+CoB is going to be more of damage mitigator then just iCoB+flurry

the swordsman+doc is better suited for single mob, where the pike+doc+swordsman is more setup to tank against multiple targets, a swordsmans+doc would have to spam area taunt like everyother attack to keep aggro, where a pikeman+sword+doc could sping, area+taunt+self heal to keep aggro on them

i actually hadto use area taunt to get my med xp as i kept getting in grousp where the heavy hitters and aggro keepers were on leave, cob and area taunt worked really will together with healing to grind some med xp
