I was looking around for a weapon to use to get some swordsman xp.
While looking, I noticed a severe lack in CL 50+ weapons that don't require a skill.
Other professions seem to have several CL50+ weapons to grind with, but the best I could find for swordsman was a CL-30 Vibro axe. Is this the best a swordsman gets until she masters the profession?

/agree
and youll master in no time so not long till u wield a hammer
I believe we need dual swords that would be nice a a nice hard hitting 2 handed set of swords or more than there is now

dual weild wouldnt fit in with swordsman.. we use BOTH hands to use ONE weapon.
dual weild would only work with fencer or pistoleer

After I reached level 50 I started using a Wookiee Toothpick (CL 50 requirement). Mine is sliced and has 500-1000 damage. Sadly these are hard-to-get avatar loot.

unbelievable - alright just some more swords then !!!!
idont really agree with your comment tbh
I guess when jedi use two sabres in the films thats ok i mean they would have to have been excellent fencers for that i guess ??? or a jedi using a double ended sabre should be using pikemen in their template working on the strict two handed principles u mention.
Is it that hard to imagine a swordsman that could hold a sword in both hands albeit smaller than average ones ??
I can imagine it

The problem is the dry-up of adequate enhancers for our crafted weapons.
It's a sorry state when quest rewards/loot are our best weapons because the Devs couldn't be bothered to code decent modifiers into the new system.

Pretty much.
I mastered swordsman with my ALT post-CU. I was lucky that I was already level 73 after the CU respec. I took the Sword Finesse IV box so I could use a Scythe Blade. It is really a crime that there is no craftable level 40 two handed weapon.
