im pretty close to master at this point.

i use a very high damage powerhammer (35 slice)

and i love it!

once i got master tech i didnt notice any diffrence in the speed btween it (5.4) and the spd slice hammer i was using to level with (3.8) (i also use speed powerups )

anyway - when i hit master i think i'll have 80 spd with 2 hand swords (i could be wrong i think that is the total for master)

I WAS WONDERING - how does that acctually change weapon spd with math?

does that mean 80 percent of the speed of a weapon? or what........just wondering the exact formula.

i know basically your weapon spd doesnt matter at master but just wanting to know why

thanks

At Master Swordsman you have +75 2h Speed. You can have +80 if you master brawler. (And I think you get an extra +10 if you're a rodian, or it might be +10 accuracy, cant remember).

The skill mod is applied as a direct percentage.

+75 = 75% speed reduction.

ftb and i disagree again LOL

the speed mods as explained to me by many weaponsmiths, and beta testers, asthis.... for every +point you have in your mod, is a .01 increase in speed... so if your a Master +75 speed mod, would result in -.75 speed reduction.... so a 2hand curved 2.6 at master level would be really 1.85...

say a speed slice for about 20% would make a 2.6 about 2.1, and with our speed mods 1.35, any ol speed power up added, capped at 1.0... this applies to all weapons as far asI understand....

NowI don't know whats right or wrongI can only go by whatI have been told, but this sure seems to apply in the 2hcurved vs PH arguement... since even at master, my PH is only about 1/2 as fast as my 2hcurved....

anyone got some hard facts on this? cause it would be nice to have a comfirmation on how it truely works...

FTB is right on this one, +75 melee speed is a 75% reduction in delay time between specials. With master brawler and speed tapes I'm at +88 speed and I hit3 every two seconds with a 5.4 hammer, compared to four seconds when I was master swordsman only.

well i just mastered pike... and so my polearm speed is +75. My speed 2.5 LVA, doens't swing at like .67 it is much clsoer to 1.75. so to whoever said that it is like a .01 reduction for every point, that is a much more accurate statemetn. a +75% reduction in weaponspeed would allow me to swing so fast.... it would be unstopable....

yes i'm working on swordsman now if you are wondering why i am posting here...

Don't forget there is aspeed limit that always applies,no more than one attack per second

Also, specials have a timefactor built into them, which is multiplied by the weapon's delay time, then reduced by the speed on a percentage basis

example...

  • One website reports headhit3 has a 2.25 time factor (not sure if this is accurate but let's go with it)

  • My powerhammer is 5.4 second

  • 2.25 x 5.4s = 12.15 seconds delay, base

  • My two handed melee speed is +88, for an 88% reduction off of 12.15 which yields 1.454 seconds

Combat spamconfirms that I can chain headhit3s and each one takes no more than 2 seconds.I haven't done a realaccurate test chaining it many times, nothing lives that long

i'm not trying to push anything here, but .75 speed and 75% are the same thing. just do the multiplication on your calculator, 5.4 * .75 = 4.05, and 5.4*75% = 4.05, so technically both are correct, just they used different terms for the numbers.

i forgot to put down the rest of the equasion... lol

then you take the 4.05, and subtract it from the 5.4 hammer speed, and thus you get

5.4-4.05 = 1.35

The above is what I was addressing:the idea that the speed mod is subtracted from the weapon time.
