its not a bug.. its a design issue. If you look around here you'll see that is one of our major gripes.. that all our moves do essentially the same thing.

It causes dizzy on targets which is crap imo, and should be fixed to cause "blind" status which is way more useful

dizzy on targets isnt exactly crap... use lunge to knock them to their knee, then use area to dizzy them, if they stand they are going to fall on their a$$ and youdecimate them while they lie on the ground

it isnt the greatest attack, or skill to have, butwith some good tactics, it works out.

Its crap because 2hhit3 already dizzies and both attacks have 30% chance to dizzy. Having area blind is way more useful.

I just got to master sword offence and have used 2-handed Area 3 on several occasions to test it out.

1. It has the same animation as 2-Handed Area 2

2. It does not do more damage than 2-Handed Area 2

3. It does not blind

So, really it is exactly the same as 2-handed Area 2. Anyone else noticed this bug?

Same animation: yeah, that's lame.

Doesn't blind: yeah, but it does dizzy. And, as any TKA can tell you, when you have a move that does dizzy and lower posture in one strike, it rules when it actually works. You want blind instead? Why? It would only work as often as the dizzy that you're complaining about not working.

Doesn't do any more damage: What? No. You're just wrong there. Test it out some more, you'll see.

Area3 is not broken, it's one of the best moves we have for PvE. Give it time, you'll see.
