i wouldn't use a hammer until i was master swordsman..... do to its inaccuracy and slowness. either then that a well made to handed curved sword does the trick. fast, accurate and does decent dmg.

Even before Master, the Powerhammer has its uses. Nothing beats the PH for bleeds. Apply the bleeds with the PH, then switch to 2H Curved Sword for finishing it off. Eventually, as your speed and accuracy increase, you will find that somewhere along the line, you stopped bothering switching from the PH and have been doing just fine. But early on, the accuracy and speed are issues.

i used 2H curved sword for quite some time, then i hit novice and grabbed me a good powerhammer. i still use my sword more than my hammer. but going up against rancors or krayts use composite armor and use a variation of the two weapons, switching off to deal the right blows. use your best specials, and make sure both have melee upgrades, AND last but not least, dont forget your muon gold or neutron pixie!
(mostly off subject lol, 2H curved sword: PvP, PH: PvE

Im not a master yet (Im 0-3-3-2), but Ill post my inputs anyway.
I started using the 2h curved sword, mostly for speed and accuracy. But I was allways frustrated with the huge range of damage it did, so at about 0-2-1-2 I started using the cleaver more. It as a tighter damage gap, and with a speedslice, is fast enough. I have since come to like the powerhammer against foes I know I can handle, since it lets me deal a considreble amount of damage in a short amount of time (nothing like whacking a rancors head for 3k dmg
). Against foes I need to be more carefull, I switch to cleaver since the hammer has a HAM cost that can leave me very vulnreble at a bad moment. On ordinary foes its too much of a problem, since I have a good ubese armor and Im master medic.
