I am looking for a new profession as I'm getting fed up with getting messed around as a BE and want to kill stuff rather than watching my pets do all the damage.

These are probably really dumb questions but....

Does Strength actually affect Hand to Hand Damage?

Do I want to be wearing my full suit or composite or will the modifiers to my secondary stats cripple me?

What sort of stats do I want to migrate to?

Any tips for fighting with pets other than send it in first to draw the aggro?

No, I dont think that strength has anything to do with your combat effectivness. Most of the secondary stats are used to see how much damage is lost and the rate of recovery.

Anyway, composite is always a good thing, especially with good resist against kenetic, but as a swordsman, you may find it a good idea to at least wear a helm (depending if you need the mind points or not)

As for fighting with pets, I always found that if your leveling through Swordsman, pets can be very effective. If you send the pet in first, and follow behind, you will probably find that most mobs attack the pet first, which allows you to give out alot of damage without taking it directly.

I say drop CH if you are going swordsman. You seriously don't need pets with this class. Use the points to master brawler so you can be a force in PvP as well as PvE. Get to know chef foods and how to use them. If you want to wear armor all the time, make best friends with a doctor. Armor is more of a handicap than anything if you aren't buffed.

Drop ch! After I got master swordsman I threw it away and picked up the dirty fighting line.
