Thread: Im addicted to GDK

I love killing these things except for the disease. I tried curing, but as quick as I get rid of the disease, it sticks it right back on me. Just curious how others out there deal with this? After 2 or 3 Kimos I have a ton of BF and mind wounds.
Since I only have 18 points leftover on my temp(Im MSwords/MDoc), I decided to screw having Scout and picked up Novice Entertainer and a box of Ent Healing (and some +25 Ent Healing hotpants) just so I could go fight these things for any length of time without having to fly offplanet to get my mind fixed.
Anyways I dont have much of a strategy besides intimidating, headhit3 and curing myself as much as possible. I made a taunt macro just for them because they seem to teleport away when they are about to die, and I try to lure them close to gurks if any are available to take aggro and soak some hits for me. Anything else I should be trying?
The main thing is battle longevity though...I have no problem taking GDK down, its just the constant fight to keep my mindbar from turning black that seems to be my biggest problem after fighting a few.
Oh! And wheres the best places to find GDK? Ive been lucky finding them around the volcano, are there any other hotspots I should be aware of?

I setup a macro with the following:
/clearcombatqueue;
/curedisease self;
You will have to check to make sure that the clear combat command is corrent but it works well for me and I avoid mostof the disease ticks...make sure you have a good supply of disease cures though. I would also suggest you get oneof the auukuan +10 disease resists belts. Helps out a lot.

Here is the key, USE BRANDY!
I'm sure you do already so it should be no surprise. TK Meditate, Cure Disease, and Power Boost work nice but as far as the disease is concerned.
Forget about it, Literally just forget about it.
The good thing about their disease is that it will never go below your base mind stat.
So if you have 1000 mind normally and let's just say with brandy you have another 1000 so 2000 total.
The disease will only take you down to 1000 at the most and then will just stop working. So just forget about it!
That's what I do anyway.

I do the exact same thing. If your gonna be killing GDKs for a while go find an Image Designer and drop all of your main stats to their minimums and put it into your secondaries. If your using brandy you'll be more than fine and suffer very little wound overall from the disease. Works great because the disease doesn't touch any of your buffs.
