I am a new Swordsman and I see there is the MindHit1&2... From what I gather in the description it seems to do wound damage to the mind pool(s). Is this true? Is only the mind pool wounded or is willpower and focus as well? Are the wound really has high at the damage calulators indicate? If this move really is as powerful as I think why isn't this used over Headhit3 (I know it does less damage but against some one with 3 brandy's and a couple of canapes it would be an awsome move)?
AOE attacks: What is the difference between Area and Sweep? Does Posture down work fairly well combined with Dizzy or should I be looking at getting Lunge2 for the REAL knockdown?
Another thing that I have noticed was that hit2 is stronger than hit3, is this beacuse of the dizzy? Also I have noticed with the calculators is that at slower speed weapons hit1 offen had the same DPS as hit2, would it be wise to use hit1 instead of hit2 for ham cost savings?
I know this is a lot but any help is appreciated...

Mindhit hits for little damage but tacks a bleed DoT onto your enemy, on the Mind pool - the description of the attack is badly worded
The bleed used to be really powerful, back in the day.. but it's been nerfed beyond recognition now and is only any use really in PvP to screw with your opponents mind regen rate.. Headhit3 is the real damage deal for hurting someone's head.
The real difference between Area3 and Sweep2 afaik is that Sweep2 is rubbish, frankly
Area3 hits for a lot of damage to everything around you, with a possible posture down and dizzy..
I've not noticed hit2 being more powerful than hit3.. will have to do a quick test

I have been using this damage calculator for buying weapons and such... http://killyourpc.org/swg/swg_dps.php?weapon_min=0&weapon_max=0&weapon_speed=0&pc_speed=0&class=Swordsman.
Is this still accurate calc to use or is there a better one out there.
As for the Dot bleed, I guess I should have tried it
to find out... Now it makes sense everyprofession has a DOT attack for their primary damage pool.
According to the calculator above the area3 attack is weaker than area2 but it adds a dizzy to the posture down state....

once you at master or faster speed Area3 becomes more powerful. the delay modifiers on most higher up attacks are to slow to use unless your master. for grinding i usually use just spin1 as its teh fastest aoe attack that any prof has. and then spin2 once i get the 4th speed box.

Hit 2 is not stronger then hit 3. The difference is that if you are not speed capped you can swing hit 2 faster. And yes Mind hit causes DoT and headhit 3 is what does the most damage to mind.
