hi all,

i know this mod will stick and works...but how effective is counter attack? Is it worth spending $$$ on this? Will I notice a difference? I was planniing on putting it in the last slot of my nice swordsman belt.

thanks all

as long as its Counterattack and not 2-handed melee counterattack then yes it works. i am +15 (125 total so im capped) and i can tell a slight difference when using it, my cob gets more counterattacks vs low end NS (rangers, sentinels...)when i am 125 compared to base 110.

I'm sitting at +134 Counterattack and I love it.Just bylooking at my combatlogs and seeing I have counterattacked a jedi every 4 or 5 seconds, I highly suggest it to any swordsmen.

I noticed you said you are putting it into a belt. That isn't one of the conditionless armor belts is it? If so, it will not go in. You will want to get a BE shirt with some useful mods and 4 slots for that. If it is a normal clothing belt, youre good to go.

counterattack caps at +125. you got +9 worthless points. only way to surpass +125 in defensive mods is wirth food or a SL, and neither help counterattack.

Well, I use 2H and I have counterattack mods. Never thought about them being normal or 2H counterattack. I just know that counterattack works quite often for me. Just the other day I was swooping through dantooine and I got hit for 785 pts of damage and it was a counterattack, so no damage. the next 2 shots in a row missed but were also counterattacked. (yeah go figure, I counterattacked a miss, yay SOE) so that was 3 counterattacks in a row for just driving by some mobs and not taking any damage at all.

it is actually a Malabri [?] Armour Belt....a CA wont go in? Will a AA? or have things changed so nothing goes in them?

thanks all. Still cant make my mind up if Counterattack helps with PvE, which is mainly what i am.

maxes at +125 with SKILLS you can get additional counterattack with TAPES (as far as I know..this is my experience with counterattack)

Post nerf:

pre-nerf (no condition) Malabri (ya, i can never spell it either) belts=AA's

pre-nerf Ubuse shirts and Bandoleers (whichever type of armor they are)=CA's, even if they had an AA put in them before the nerf.

Go devs, you can't figure out how to remove two handed evasion from the loot tables, ormanage to get 2 abilities on a tape to stick, but you can "fix" armor shirts and belts. Never mind the fact that the shirt takes the place of a +18 warcry/intimidate shirt, and the belt goes where a PSG goes. Seems it was already balanced to me before you got your hands on it :/.

I was under the impression it maxed at 125 with skill mods and any other mods such as tapes would be limited to +25 on top of the hard cap without tapes.
